"@HSCCVT was absolutely thrilled to be a participant in the #SNELovesPets social media campaign last October! This $10,000 gift from Subaru of New England is a tremendous vote of confidence in our mission. A gift of this size goes a long way at HSCC. In 2016, we placed 940 companion animals in new homes! We could not do this important work without the support of such kind-hearted, pet-friendly, philanthropic companies like Subaru of New England.” – Nancy Cathcart, President and CEO of HSCC

Founded in 1901, HSCC has been serving both animals and people for well over 100 years. HSCC takes in 800-1200 animals each year and welcomes as many as 20,000 visitors annually. The majority of the animals at HSCC are cats and dogs, but they also provide care and services for small animals such as rabbits, ferrets, and rodents.

On March 9, we held our All Retailer Meeting in our hometown of Norwood, MA – about a half hour south of Boston. This meeting brings together all 64 New England Subaru retailers to discuss our plans for the coming year. After the meeting, we continue the conversation over a nice lunch.
We decided to use this opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to the Subaru Love Promise, which is our pledge to do right by the communities in which we all live and work. We ordered an abundance of food to ensure that there would be leftovers. The following day, the surplus of non-perishables and canned goods were donated to the Norwood Food Pantry!
This is just one local example that proves the Subaru Love Promise is alive and well. Each and every month, Subaru of New England proudly supports communities across New England through our various initiatives. Don’t forget: Love. It’s what makes a Subaru, a Subaru!

"This gift from Subaru of New England will have an immediate impact on the countless pets that come through @CTHumaneSociety’s doors. In 2016, close to 15,890 animals found wellness and care at the Connecticut Humane Society, and another 4,566 found love, compassion and adoption. Thanks to philanthropic, socially conscious partners like Subaru of New England, we can continue to save even more pets’ lives in 2017." - Gordon G. Willard, Executive Director of the Connecticut Humane Society.

"@CoastalHumaneSociety & @LincolnCountyAnimalShelter are overwhelmed with gratitude to Subaru of New England for including us in their inventive social media campaign, #SNELovesPets! Subaru of New England’s commitment to supporting shelter pets is inspiring and their generosity will help us care for the 3,300 dogs, cats and critters that come through our doors every year at our two facilities. Their donation will help us care for these animals; providing them with food, medical care and comfort. More importantly, it will help us continue to get 98% of these animals out of our shelters and home to stay,” said Joe Montisano, Executive Director for Coastal Humane Society and Lincoln County Animal Shelter.

"@NHhumane (NHHS) was beyond thrilled to participate in #SNELovesPets 2016. This donation from Subaru of New England will have an enormous impact on our shelter, where 1,300 animals found safe harbor, care and comfort in 2016. Our adoption rate continues to be in the 90th percentile monthly – something we could not achieve without the support of wonderful, philanthropic, and socially conscious companies like this one." Marylee Gorham-Waterman, Executive Director of NHHS

To demonstrate our commitment to the Subaru Love Promise, we presented our $10,000 donation today from #SNELovesPets 2016. We would like to sincerely thank NHHS for having us!
