School of Greatness was an easy fun read. @lewishowes uses real examples to teach his method to greatness. So if youโ€™re looking for some motivation to get started...itโ€™s a great book to pick up!
.
Next, up was Connected. This one was a little more case-study focused. I was expecting a marketing book...and got something a little crazier. One can still take the information presented and use it for marketing purposes. Overall a good read with some really crazy examples of how others influence our decisions and actions. Like smoking, who we sleep with, epidemics, and even suicidal thoughts.
.
Most recently there was The Coaching Method.
I had mixed feelings about this book. Mostly because I have taken a Life Coaching course where we covered material and topics extensively. This book seemed to just scratch the surface of how to guide a conversation with a client. So if youโ€™re thinking about life coaching (which is not advice giving) pick that book up and give it a go.

Just started reading Calm the F*CK Down by the wildly hilarious @mcsnugz .
I have been patiently waiting for this woman to give me more material! ๐Ÿ’• Hands down one of my favorite authors!
.

Muscle Mindset.
.
What I mean is....your body will go as far as your mind will push it.
.
The stronger you are mentally, the less youโ€™ll talk yourself out of going HARD AS FUCK! (In anything....not just the gym)
.
Itโ€™s never really just about losing weight or being wealthy.
.
For example, I have a client that fucking killed it this week because her mindset and her WHY was crystal clear.
.
Yes she wants to lose weight and get fit....
.
But her WHY is because she wants to live a long healthy life for herself and her daughter. And she also wants to feel confident to get undressed and have sex with the lights on.
.
CAN I GET AN AMEN!!! ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
.
Iโ€™ve been there! I know what itโ€™s like to feel ashamed of what you look like and it affect your confidence and relationship.
.
Donโ€™t allow yourself to fall into the victim trap!
.
Youโ€™ve got this!
.
Train your mindset, establish your WHY, seek help if needed, and get to work!
.

There will be periods of darkness, where life seems stagnant, and periods of development and growth.

Wherever you may find yourself at this point in time, give yourself permission to be in the moment.

Who you were 10 years agoโ€ฆ And who you will be 10 years from now doesnโ€™t really fucking matter.
.
How you show up this very second is what counts!
.
Forget about the saying that tomorrow isnโ€™t promisedโ€ฆ The next 20 minutes isnโ€™t promised.
.
I know thatโ€™s a scary thought, but it may allow you to fully appreciate the next 20 mins of your life.
.
Even if it is sitting in traffic. Blast your favorite song and have a dance party!

I Am Letting Go Of What Others May Think!
.
Whatever is causing you pain, discomfort, or maybe that tightness or uneasy feeling....
.
Breathe into it and let that shit go!
.
Life is so precious and extremely short to hold onto things that donโ€™t bring you joy!
.
Anger, grudges, jealously, insecurities, certain relationships, habits, etc.
.
Take a look at your life. Inhale GREATNESS and exhale all of the bullshit.
.
I am letting go of what people may think.
.
Coaching people for years, I kept on having intimate conversations with clients (business and fitness clients) about what was really going on in their life and what was holding them back.
.
Becoming a certified Life Coach has been the most rewarding and challenging thing in my career thus far.
.
I needed that certification to feel confident in telling people about what I do for a living.
.
It is why I was put on this earth and I have never been more passionate about anything in my life as I am about this.
.
But there are times where I feel anxious telling people that I am a Life Coach.
.
Not because of my abilities, but because of how they will perceive me.
.
In a time where it seems like everyone is becoming a mindset coach, I donโ€™t want people to think that I got into this because it sounds cool or because itโ€™s a trend.
.
It has always been my calling to help people unpack their bullshit and find their purpose or direction.
.
I am willing to risk you not liking me.
.
I ask those powerful questions to get you to look inward and question why youโ€™re doing what youโ€™re doing.
.
I guess with 10 years of bartending experience you can say I have been life coaching for a decade now ๐Ÿ˜‚. And boy did I risk getting tipped lol.

But seriously, I am letting go of this idea that people will think of me some sort of way if I say the words Life Coach.
.

My MENTAL transformation. 10 years apart.
.
Yup! The biggest transformation happened mentally.
.
When I first started training, I thought if I lost 20lbs I would be happier.
.
And it did for a second. But I was never happy with the way I looked.
.
I have been crazy lean for shows, killing myself to lose weight....and still was never happy with my appearance.
.
I struggled with this for YEARS!
.
It wasnโ€™t until I actually started to address:
.
WHY I was never happy with my physical appearance.
WHY I self sabotaged.
WHY I had such a bad relationship with food. Which only got worse as I competed.
.
I felt unfulfilled with my life.
.
I needed to address my negative self talk and my mindset big time.
.
I choose to be positive. I choose to work on my mindset.
.
Not everyday is perfect.
.
But we all have a choice every single day to strive to be better.
.
And when you truly have self-love, you want to do whatโ€™s in your own best interest.
.
If today was not a great dayโ€ฆ Donโ€™t wait until tomorrow to make it better.

Life is going to test you, itโ€™s going to push you past your limits, and itโ€™s not always fair...

But itโ€™s those moments, when youโ€™re contemplating giving up on your dream, that you need to dig deep.

Keep on pushing!

When you stay consistent, continue pursuing your passion, and step on the gas when you hit a speed bump...you may end up flying ๐Ÿ˜‚.
