Bringing the abs back slowly. My body has had a nice long break and I’m excited to watch it transform as I start changing up my diet and training.💪🏽 .

If you told me years ago I could eat all the food I’ve been eating🍌🍔🍩🍦🍷🍕, do half the cardio and still love what I see in the mirror😍, I prob wouldn’t have believed you. 🤷🏻‍♀️And to be honest I probably would have gained a ton of weight then if I ate like I have been.
It takes a lot of patience to do things the heathy way and build up your metabolism. It takes experimenting, making mistakes and learning about your body.

Healthy means your results might happen at a slower pace 🐢. It means getting a little uncomfortable and frustrated at times, but knowing there is a purpose to the struggle. It requires mental fortitude so it means you will end up with a stronger and more positive mind in the process. Most importantly, it means your results will last! 🦋 .

Unfortunately, since most people are influenced by the “I want it NOW” mentality they choose extreme approaches that get amazing quick results, but just aren’t sustainable. I tell clients there’s always a faster way but there’s always a trade-off. For me, my health and the health of the women I work with, is not a trade-off I’m willing to make. Health and inner happiness is the priority. 😊

I know I didn’t, but now that I do know a better way to reach my goals, I refuse to do anything that I couldn’t maintain for the long haul. I’m all about longevity. I don’t want to look good for a few months and then watch it all disappear. 🤦🏻‍♀️That doesn’t feel good. I want to look and FEEL good for life! Slow and steady will always win the race against myself! .

What do you know about #MetabolicTraining? 💪🏽 .

For starters It’s one of the best ways to burn more calories even after you are done with your workout. And who doesn’t want the most bang for their buck?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ .

This style of training is similar to interval training where there are bouts of harder work followed by important rest intervals. So it not only has the benefit of being fun and taking less time out of your day, but it also increases one’s capacity for high-intensity exercise, offers a longer “after burn” (burn more calories AFTER your workout is finished), increases production of testosterone or growth hormone (helps maintain muscle mass while still burning calories), and enhances the ability to move more functionally. .

BATTLE ROPES are one of my favorite exercises to add when doing HIIT or conditioning work. Gets that HR ❤️up and stress out! 🙌🏼They also make a great superset on upper body days. 🔥Give this a try:
10 together
20 alternating
10 single arm
10 together
10 alternating .

The other exercises in my circuit went like this:
✔️ Battle ropes ✔️ Banded sled pulls ✔️ Banded Sled pushes ✔️ Curtsy lunge Stepups
✔️ Banded Lateral Squats ✔️ Tire jumps
I repeated them all about 3-4 times with 1-2 min rest between rounds. It was a good one!!

#WorkoutWednesday 🍑 A few of my favorite glute training exercises that I do at least once a week! (I train glutes 2-3 times a week)
These all focus on the outer glute which helps create roundness to the muscle. Since there are different types of muscle fibers in the glutes, I do this combination to make sure all are activating. My resistance band helps with this. The full workout and videos are posted in my story. 🎦—-------------------------------
