Safety Bar Box Squats ๐Ÿ™Œ
It might be light but I'm just happy to be back squatting ๐Ÿ˜Š This bar forces you to stay more upright which helps take out some of the pressure off the lower back ๐Ÿ’ฏ The box is also a useful tool because it helps ensure good technique and takes away the 'rebound' from the bottom of the movement that you would normally get from a regular squat - this can also place pressure thoughtout the lower back ๐Ÿšซ
It's important to rest and listen to your body but don't let it keep you down forever! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Itโ€™s fine to have healthy a competition with others ๐Ÿ† But be aware that competition can quickly become unhealthy if you allow it to get in your head and consume you !! I feel as though females in particular struggle with this ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ I find that we are constantly comparing ourselves to people that we perceive are better than us ! But the important thing to remember is that we are only being judged from OUR own perception ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ Speak positivity over yourself and carry yourself with pride ๐Ÿ’ฏ You can always find inspiration from the journeys of others but remember that itโ€™s their journey and you have your own ๐Ÿ’œ

This is the most amount of weight I have ever handled on the bench press .. it was scary !! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
But coach told me to work up to a heavy single .. so I had to suck it up and go heavy !! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

BOARD PRESS ๐Ÿ™Œ

70kg / 154lb for sets of 5 โœ…
The board shortens the range of movement which allows you to overload by using more weight ๐Ÿ”ฅ This is a very effective exercise to help increase your bench and build your triceps ๐Ÿ’ช It was recommended to me by @jailhousestrong who is helping me improve my bench ๐Ÿ’ฏ Whilst I am currently restricted with squats and deads I'm working hard to try and pump up my bench press strength ๐Ÿ™ No matter how many obstacles life throws your way .. remember that there's always something else you can focus on and try to improve ๐Ÿ’™

Two of my favourite Glute exercises ๐Ÿ‘
1. Hip Abduction Machine
2. Banded Hip Thrusts using the @fitpro_bootybands
During this hypertrophy phase Iโ€™m using a high volume approach hitting sets of 10-20 reps and also utilising techniques such as drop sets and test pause sets ๐Ÿ”ฅ Always look for ways to apply overload and push yourself past limitations ๐Ÿ’ฏ If youโ€™re interested in getting some @fitpro_bootybands you can use my code STEPH10 for a discount ๐Ÿ˜˜
