At first I wasn't gonna post this on my account, but instead on my spam. But screw it, ima say it here where it can reach more people.
I had a few friends some time ago, that would always ask me if my followers knew what I looked like. When they would read the comments and see how much people enjoyed what I would post, they became curious to know if you all knew what I looked like. MAINLY, my ethnicity which is African American.
I have no shame in my race or background. I have no shame in my apperance either, though at times in the past I would want to change things about me. But then I realized, I don't need to change anything about myself.
So I'm making this post, encouraging you guys to not change what you look like, or who you are for the sake of fitting the image someone wants for you. You don't have to answer to anybody. I shouldn't have to tell you why I talk the way I talk, act the way I act, like what I like, or present myself the way I do. Unless you're someone I am working for, or is of importance in my life, you're opinion of me isn't my main concern.
So don't be ashamed of what you look like, cause looks fade away. Lots of things about an apperance of a person, or even other things like their voice, and abilities can fade away. Those things can sometimes be out of our control. But we can control our heart, and how we treat others.
I know we all can have insecurities, but that's why it's good to find people who can make you feel secure.
This is just my opinion, but I wanted to say this in case someone needed to hear it. Not everyone is going to like what you do, how you look, and so forth. Find the people that do, and can grow along with you. Know that you are amazing and that nobody has the power to tell you that you're something that isn't actually you, unless you give it to them.
You've got nothing to prove. Love ya ♥
