Sneak peak of a contemporary monster job we recently wrapped up for @whitaker_construction. This renovation is off the charts, absolutely beautiful job by these guys, can’t wait to show you more! The stairs are Infinity style with built in minimalist guard walls in stain grade maple. There are 3 floors of stairs which took around 2 weeks to build in the house. Job location: Toronto, ON.

Oak mono-stringer with 1-3/4” solid treads. This stair will be getting a glass stand-off railing system. Job location: Blue Mountain, ON.

This sexy open 2 side hickory circular had to be built in the house. This beauty has custom heels, 1-3/4” hickory treads and paint grade risers. Job location: Blue Mountain, ON.

This wormy maple open rise staircase was installed using custom steel anchor plates. These plates were drilled and fastened to the ICF concrete wall. The treads and landing slab are 1-3/4 solid wormy maple. Job location: Midhurst, ON.

Steel box stringers with 3” white oak box treads and built in glass hangers. We installed 12mm clear tempered glass on 1-1/2” stainless standoffs. The railing is custom fabricated out of steel - flat bar. Job location: Muskoka, ON

Open 1 side stairs with paint grade risers/stringers and red oak treads. We installed a vertical railing, 4-1/2 square posts with caps & TL58-SS stainless steel spindles. Another beautiful build by our pals @vandermeerhomes. Job location: Collingwood, ON.

Double winder circulars - stacked. Our railing Jedi Peter knocked this install out of the park. Standard railing, 3-1/2 square posts with decorative trim/caps & TL12-40/TL130-1-40 wrinkled black spindles. Job location: Innisfil, ON.

This is how box treads are made. Kavan, The Prince Of Treads, is seen here gluing up walnut 3” box treads. Wonder why a stair with box treads is expensive? A ton of labor goes into each one of these beauties. These still need to be chopped, sanded and then the ends will be veneered. More or less, these are continuous waterfall treads on all 4 sides. Enjoy!

No need for a compressor on site anymore! This baby will make wrapping a stair on-site a piece of cake. Thanks to our pals @atlasmachinery for always taking care of us.

Open 1 side winderbox/circular made in red oak. This stair required a full assembly on site. In this pic, Tyler is plugging/sanding each tread. Job location: Stroud, ON.

Circular stair removal and installation of a new stair. This is a time lapse of a 14 rise open 1 side oak circular being installed in its new home. Job location: Barrie, ON.
