Current surroundings: beautiful mountains, 68 degree weather and the soft trickle of a mountain stream. Any other day this would be paradise to me, but not as much today. It's hard to breathe in the beauty around you while you're consumed with anxiety about your home. It's impossible to replace the worry for loved ones who decided to stay behind and ride out the storm with your love for a place that you hold in your heart, but just isn't home. I'm overwhelmed by all of the offers for refuge, and the love and support that I've felt from friends and family near and far. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. To those who stayed behind, I wish you luck. To Hurricane Irma, please leave me something to come home to.
