His story: Josiah was rescued by SPCA in 2012 as a kitten, and was adopted shortly after. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he was surrendered back to SPCA four years later and has been with us ever since.
As quite an expressive cat, he is always happy to share his life experiences with any human who is willing to give him the love and time.

#4 Heathcliff the Domestic Shorthair ·
★ Cheeky and curious by nature
★ Loves interacting with humans and other cats i.e. a social butterfly
·
His story: Heathcliff was surrendered to the SPCA in February 2018 as his previous owners were not able to care for him. Despite his sad background story, he kept his spirits up and was soon known as the social butterfly in the cattery. Heathcliff, like the cat in George Gately's 1973 comic strip, has a mischievous and comical personality. Once you step foot into the cattery, you will not miss this friendly pink-nosed cat who will come up to you to purr hello!
·
Heathcliff is still hoping for a forever home and family who will love him like we do. If you are interested in adopting him, click the link on our profile for more details.

#3 Bruce the Singapura Special ·
★ Charming personality
★ Smart and a quick learner of commands
·
His story: In May 2016, Bruce was found by a member of public wandering aimlessly in Lim Chu Kang with a collar and a choke chain. He was then brought to SPCA in the hopes of reuniting him with his owner. However, nobody came forward to claim him even after a lost-and-found advertisement was placed in the newspaper.
While with us, our staff members realised that he is very intelligent and always quick to learn new commands or tricks. He is an expert at charming us, the ladies especially, with his comical behaviour.
Bruce has been with us for more than two years now and is still hoping for a forever home and family who will love him like we do. If you are interested in adopting him, click the link on our profile for more details.

·
Her story: In July 2017, we received a call from a member of public who found an injured dog lying on the ground in Tuas. When our rescue officers got to the scene, they noticed that her front right leg was wounded and she was unable to walk. She was brought back to SPCA and named Criss Cross.
Under the care of our staff members, Criss Cross recovered well and was soon transferred to the adoption shelter. Due to her gentle demeanour and love for the company of humans, she is one of the most endearing dogs in the shelter.

BECAUSE I’M A HAPPY GUINEA PIG
Have you ever seen your guinea pig jumping or kicking around and wondered if something was wrong? Fret not, it means you are taking good care of him.

This behaviour where a guinea pig is seen jumping around, or kicking his legs is known as popcorning. The action is known by that term because the action resembles a kernel of popcorn popping. This unique behaviour is commonly seen in the younger guinea pigs who are happy and excited!
