ANINA. ----- A year ago, I met the amazing @aninarubio in one of her workshops here in Cebu with @kimilulifecoach. She is one of my calligraphy heroes, and one of the reasons why I started practicing. Ever since I started doing calligraphy/hand lettering, it somehow became a refuge whenever I become down or too stressed in life or work.
On my birthday last year, I got laid off from my job. It was a bad time for me. But during that workshop, it taught me to accept the things that I could not control, and that we should celebrate life and cherish the now. Watercolor, hand lettering, and a letter to myself helped me realize that. A month later, I got a new job and currently enjoying it.
Life is too short to be so concerned about trivial things. Circumstances may put us in a bad place, but that doesn't stop us from going through life. Just shake it off, move on, and become better and stronger than you were before.
Thank you, Anina and Kimi. ❤
P.S. I apologize for the long post. It's just one of those days that I feel like writing stuff. 😂
