“A little over a year ago, I became sick, and I had to go to the whiteboard with my doctors to figure out what was going on with my body. I learned that I had an autoimmune issue, which was a wake-up call, telling me to become healthier. I started to eat well, which I didn’t do before, and to take supplements. I exercised a lot. I started to put a lot of effort into my wellness.
And so, when SoulCycle opened its Buckhead studio, I decided to give it a try, and now, I’m up to taking SoulCycle two to four times a week. I find the classes to be so exhilarating: I get to get my legs moving, I get to sweat a lot, I get a really good workout, while listening to great EDM or house or pop music, which makes class feel like a concert.
In putting a lot of focus on my health, I’ve now reversed my autoimmune issue. What I love about SoulCycle is the mental focus I’ve gained over the last few months. It extends outside of the studio to my work and social life. I feel more present. I feel like I can think more clearly. And today, I have a lot more confidence.” —June Joo (@june_joo_), 29, Atlanta Rider
