At first I thought the only way 'treat' my acne was to use lots of different products, which were usually expensive, exfoliating my face regularly and I had been given loads of advise from doctors. The comments I always got were the same... "wash your face twice a day" "take these pills" "it's hormonal" "eat healthy food" but I felt like my skin was getting worse. I eventually tried different diets and now I'm gluten & dairy free which has been hard to do at school but my skin is so much better and my body as a whole feels detoxed and clean. Every day, 7 days a week I used to wear a full face of makeup but now I've realised I don't have the time, or the patience to do it. And anyways who do I have to impress...? I use a mask once a week, I exfoliate Monday's & Thursdays, wash my face every other day and use bio oil on my cheeks and chin and a light moisturiser on my t-zone every day (sometimes twice.) And I must say the sun, aloe vera, bio oil and honey&cinnamon face masks have been my saviours!!
