SOLitude Lake Management  SOLitude is a full service lake, pond, wetland and fisheries management company with innovative & sustainable solutions for all of your aquatic needs.

#TeamSOLitude in Texas continues to help those affected by #HurricaneHarvey. Aquatic Specialist Robert Callaway and his wife Rebekah joined a group of #volunteers and dedicated an entire day to helping a family in Rockport clean up debris on their property. Aquatic Technician Ryan Young and his parents spend two days delivering water and helping 13 families in Houston return to their homes to retrieve important items, including rescuing a stranded cat. Thank you for all that you’ve done to help! #TheSOLution #Volunteering #CommunityService #TexasStrong #Recovery

Please help us congratulate Aquatic Ecologist Shannon Junior, Environmental Scientist David Riedl, Aquatic Specialist Trent Nelson, Certified Lake Manager Derek Johnson and Territory Leader Dan Hunt for their recent accomplishments as lake and #pondmanagement professionals. Each of our five talented team members were awarded through SePRO Corporation’s Seeing Is Believing program for the management of standout #waterquality, #algae and nuisance #aquaticweed projects. #EmployeeAppreciation #TeamSOLitude #LakeManagement #RestoringBalance #EnhancingBeauty

Aquatic Biologist Amanda Mahaney and Seasonal Biologist Vicky Thiel are in the process of mapping vegetation in the Delaware & Raritan Canal, a 58-mile historic canal that runs through central New Jersey. Specifically, the team is keeping an eye out for invasive hydrilla, which they have been successful in controlling throughout the summer. #StopInvasiveSpecies

Our thoughts are with our clients, partners and team members as #HurricaneIrma heads towards Florida and the southeast. Our number one priority is the health and safety of our neighbors. Know we are here to help you prepare and rebuild. To help limit the impact of strong winds and heavy rain on your waterbody, we recommend the following: • Turn off your floating fountain before rising flood water and/or high winds cause it to move and potentially cause permanent damage. • Remove debris from stormwater pond inflow and outflow pipes to facilitate efficient water flow. • Relocate large outdoor items to prevent mechanical or structural damages to your lake or pond.

#TeamSOLitude members from both our Bryan and Tyler, TX offices volunteered over the holiday weekend to gather and deliver much needed supplies to two cities near Houston affected by #HurricaneHarvey – Winnie and Spring. They also rolled up their sleeves and assisted three families with sorting through what could be salvaged and clearing out what could not be saved. Thank you so much for all of your hard work! #TheSOLution #CommunityService #Volunteering #HurricaneRelief

It’s #FisheriesFriday! Territory Leader Cory Smith enhanced a private landowner’s #fishery in Eustace, TX by installing Mossback Fish Habitat, which will provide much needed refuge to small fish and the desired hunting grounds for larger fish. #FisheriesManagement #FishHabitat

Aquatic Biologist Brea Arvidson and Aquatic Specialist Matt Haupt have been spending time collecting samples of Tapegrass and #invasive Hydrilla on the D&R Canal in New Jersey. Work on the canal is challenging, but they were rewarded with many spectacular wildlife sightings, including this adorable baby #paintedturtle and a #Cecropia moth caterpillar! #ItsNotWorkIfYouLoveWhatYouDo #WildlifeWednesday #Nature #StopInvasiveSpecies

Along with their sons, Aquatic Biologist & Territory Leader Bob Schindler and Aquatic Specialist Kevin Shank #volunteered with the Musconetcong Watershed Association. With just over 40 volunteers, the group worked for 4 hours to hand pull 7,000 pounds of #invasive Water Chestnut from areas of the lake that aren’t accessible with #mechanicalharvesting. #TheSOLution #CommunityService #StopInvasiveSpecies
