🌟 Thursday = Trimester 2,3 workout video🌟

As mentioned in last Thursday's video, those in Trimester one can do these moves as well.
.
By now you should've had enough practice with diaphragmatic breathing which should help you try and switch on those tiny inner core muscles while you're breathing in and out (as opposed to while exhaling only). If you're not there yet don't worry, just stick to practicing contracting those muscles while exhaling until you master it.
.
Important queues:
1️⃣ Shoulder taps - try to keep your shoulders in line with your hips and knees and squeeze your glutes/butt muscles the whole time
2️⃣Reverse lunge to step up ✔️take support of a wall
✔️stick to a small step if not a stool/bench (to make it easier)
✔️try to hold an almost 90 degree angle between your legs when you drop into a reverse lunge
✔️consciously use your hips to get back up
3️⃣ Tricep dips
✔️only use the back of your arms to get back up as opposed to using hips
✔️to make exercise eeasier drop to your knee on one side
.
Make sure you stay well hydrated!

🌟Thursday = Trimesters 2 & 3 workout! 🌟

❗️You can't do all trimester 1 workouts in trimesters 2 & 3 but you can do ALL trimester 2 & 3 workouts in trimester 1, as long as you're comfortable doing them that is❗️
.
Read the warning signs first and make sure you have your doctor's approval to exercise! Remember to exhale while moving against gravity, switching on TA and pevic muscles and inhale while moving towards gravity relaxing the same muscles.
.
Important queues:
1️⃣Table top bridge (for glutes, hamstrings, calves and shoulders)
✔️ Squeeze your butt first and lift yourself up only using your hips, pushing through heels
✔️Make sure your shoulders are right above your palms and knees right above your feet (in the end position)
2️⃣ Upright rows (for shoulders)
✔️hold a nuetral spine while standing
✔️subtly clamp your ribs into your belly to keep core engaged and maintain that nuetral spine
✔️elbows should always flare out
3️⃣Bentover row (for all the mid back muscles)
✔️bend at your hips making sure your back is straight
✔️Squeeze your shoulder blades at the end position
✔️slowdown down the descent

It's been over 2 weeks since I worked out. Was not in the mood at all. Kept feeling tired and lethargic all the time.

Sometimes your body needs an exercise detox, to recover from the constant stress (physical, emotional and mental) and it will literally talk to you! 40 minutes of prehab (thanks to my extra fragile back), 45-90 minutes of workout and 30 minutes of stretching every single day on top of a full time job, bunch of personal training clients and 2 new projects takes a massive toll on your body.
.
I could use that time away from exercise to reflect on and plan other things like my upcoming projects, short trips, fitness courses and more.
.
It's okay to feel demotivated and tired. It's ok to just sit back and enjoy a glass of wine or your favourite pasta. It's absolutely okay to take a break from what you love doing the most.
.
Remember that the secret to optimal performance is taking a break long enough to let all signs of fatigue disappear ✌️

Tuesday = Trimester 1 home workout video, as promised 💁‍♀️ READ DESCRIPTION FIRST!

⚠️Make sure you have your doctor's approval before doing any kind of exercise⚠️
.
A lot of women had mentioned that they weren't able to feel their TA contract while doing the exercises from my previous videos. Remember that you don't just place your fingers below your pelvic bone, but slightly push into your abdomen to feel that subtle 20-30% contraction.
.
Now that you understand the importance of TA and pelvic floor activation while you breathe, you've got to learn how to apply that while you move as well.
.
A simple way to do this is, always exhale and contract pelvic floor, TA and your butt muscles while you move against/away from gravity and do the opposite when you move towards gravity. Eventually though, you should have your TA switched on the entire time whether you exhale or inhale but that's something you'll take a while to learn.
.
Keep that in mind while you do the above moves. Stick to 2-3 sets of 12-15 reps for an effective workout.
.
Some important queues:
✔️hold a nuetral spine while doing the chest press
✔️slowdown the descent while doing lateral step-ups and try to consciously load the posterior chain/butt and back of the legs
✔️switch to the wall/pole supported single arm rows of you have back pain
.
Make sure to check out my warning sign post and stop immediately if you experience any kind of pain, bleeding or dizziness.
