This is the summer weed I'll miss the most. I didn't try freezing any this year. Any fellow dyers that have had luck with frozen Queen Anne's Lace?

I've restocked the shop with the next batch of maple and cherry weaving kits in this mid-fall color way. There's a bundle of lush merino wool roving and tons of texture in these fiber packs! Find them in the shop! They come with a full color PDF showing you how to create a beautiful woven wall hanging. I'm doing my best to keep these stocked through the holidays but they've been going quick! πŸ‘πŸΌ

Already have a loom but need some weaving guidance? Check out my video e-course for beginner's (through the link above)!

This is turning into the month of weekend outings that include horses. Not mad about it.

Madder root produces some gorgeous rust and orangey-red colors for sure, but my favorite shades are on the lighter end of it's color spectrum. Give me these peachy pinks every time!

The kids went with white pumpkins this year. Does this mean my aesthetic is rubbing off on them or is this a fluke? πŸ€—

Matchy-matchy!

The most lovely fall morning in our backyard. Even the church bells agree! #dyegarden #fallcolor #backyard #naturalcolor #ozarks

I've been hunting pokeberry for weeks with no luck, but today....today! My friend Kelsey of @o.m.flowerco introduced me to her sweet neighbor who was more than happy to let me help myself to hers! I put Smith on garden snake duty (he yelled enough to scare any away) and went to work. Can't wait to share the results from this pot!

Real talk: I've been dealing with anxiety and mild depression issues for the last three years and have learned a lot of ways to manage them, along with being on a low dosage of medication. It's not something I felt comfortable sharing until recently in this space but I'm there now. When I talk about how weaving is a form of therapy, it's because it really is one of the healthiest methods I've used to help bring me to a more calm place when my anxiety gets triggered. It's been a balm and a tool at the same time. It's helped me stay connected when I'd rather withdraw and it's offered solace when all I needed was a quiet thing to keep my hands busy.
I'm so thankful for this medium and this platform to share both our creativity and our humanity. I hope in sharing, it encourages someone else that may be feeling the weight of life to be extra heavy today.

Currently sold out of almost everything in the shop but I'll be restocking looms and weaving kits on Thursday! I've got some beautiful roving and soft pink wool that are going into a fiber pack and dyeing up the next batch of naturally dyed wool to have those available early next month. I'm also working on my next two e-courses that will be ready for the holiday gifting season! .

I'm taking a short break from workshops for the next few weeks to keep all of these plates spinning but there are talks of a Boston workshop on the horizon!!! πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸΌ It's finally feeling like fall here in the Ozarks. Are you feeling the siren call to hibernate and make things after the sun goes down or is it just me? Ha!

Up high where the kitty can't get them. Repotting my pretty pilea peperomioides as soon as the planter I made at @springfieldpottery is finished. If you need your own pilea pepperoni plant πŸ•πŸŒ±, @fernshopcincinnati stocks them but they go quickly! .
