All hail healthy fats! ๐Ÿฅ‘ People often confuse my lack of oil consumption as a fear of fats, which is definitely not the case. Avocados, nuts and seeds are consistent parts of my diet which I consume with almost every meal. These foods are rich in minerals, vitamins and fibre! Conversely, oils are 100% fat with very few vitamins, virtually no minerals and of course, no sign of protein. At 120 calories per tbsp with no fibre at all, nutritionally speaking, oils have one of the worst calorie to nutrient ratios of any food. Consume oils if you want, but just know that the tbsp of oil you are consuming has more calories than that 1/2 an avocado with not even a fraction of the nutrients while taking up very little space in our stomachs. ๐Ÿฅœ๐Ÿฅ‘

I havenโ€™t been using my rings much lately and now I remember why... they are really difficult. But thatโ€™s all the more reason to pull them out more often. The most gains come when we step outside of our comfort zone. No matter what we are taking about; business, relationships, strength or spirituality, getting out of your safe space will always lead to growth!

I see so many people struggling to get results in the gym. Health and fitness shouldnโ€™t be complicated or an uphill battle. While everyoneโ€™s macro counting, weighing their food and avoiding carbs, Iโ€™m over here just eating all the whole foods I want and staying shredded like this year round. Iโ€™m still blown away by how this lifestyle supports my health, fitness and love for animals. If youโ€™re struggling in any of those areas, I guarantee more plant foods will never be a bad move.
