A nice picture of the multi grind on this framelock.

Here it is guys, this knife has a new handle. Almost all parts now have a different finish. Looks like new again.

The old carbon handle next to the new g10 handle. @neur0pr8tr

My first project for this vacation. A customer bought this Balota framelock (made in 2015) second hand and asked me if I could make an extra handle that was slimmer, to make it more edc friendly.
While I'm at it, I'll make the knife to today's standards where possible.
This post shows the refinished handle and clip.

And a picture of Jacks knife when it's closed and when there was still snow. @sjaak84

@sjaak84 Jack took this nice picture of his Bourmaud framelock. It has a stonewashed 1.4528 blade and brown anodised handles.

Quick question: Does anyone have experience with folding knives that have ball bearings like these roll directly on 6Al4V Titanium with no hardened steel ring in between?
I am curious about the wear and deformation this would cause.
A benefit would be that the knife can be thinner, or stronger with the same thickness.

Little tip for knifemakers that want to use Alpha Knife Supply 3/16" pivots but live in a metric country.
Phantom, one of my favourite cutting tool vendors, has reamers in 4.76mm, that's 0.002mm smaller than 3/16". With my setup, i get around 4.77mm holes using a 4.76mm H7 reamer. That makes for around 0.02mm play on the AKS pivots (which are 4.75+-0.005mm).
Next time, I will try their 4.75mm reamer to see if I get a nicer fit.

Stryckers Compound in the wild:) Picture by @sjoerds_ . I always enjoy seeing this knife again.

I finally started the next knife. It's a WTF linerlock with damasteel, zlati and marbled cf.

@nerdism_edc made a really nice picture of the Compound he got from me last weekend. Take a look at his IG if you like knives and EDC stuff.

I want to make the small surface grinder able to use belts and stones.
It seems cutting these trizact belts into two thinner belts is possible, now to make a tool for it.
Last pic is the knife blade after one belt.

A closer look at the zlati (russian timascus) clip with its subtle colour variation.

Hello guys and girls. This is my finished Bourmaud XL framelock.
The backspacer is brass with patina.
Thank you to my followers!

I tried small ceramic media in the vibratory tumbler.
They do a much better job at removing the 800grit scratches, compared to pebbles with silicium oxide powder. I also get less damage on the tip, the inside of the round hole is finished better.

Early morning and the quality control department is already at work!😛
It has been a while since I last made a Bourmaud folder.

Another video of the first finished FindusV2 flipper.
Thanks for watching!

Hello boys and girls of Instagram,
I finished the first one of my new model: the FindusV2 (version 2).
It is a slender flipper and I love it.
Last picture shows my buddy Findus the cat.
Edit: I tried to be like @nerdism_edc and @sjoerds_ and make pictures with background stuff in them.

-Before & after the stonewasher.-
It gives sandblasted titanium a bit more 'depth' and gets rid of the rough texture.
Thank you for watching!

My brother @maarten_stryckers once made these plastic parts for holding folder hardware.
I use it while stonewashing, it makes finding everything back more easy.

WIP FindusV2 flipper. The last picture shows the overtravel preventer. 🐧

Woohoo, a finished knife!
Let me know what you think,
i like it a lot.

My paperstone compound in Sweden.

Overview of this Compound, almost done🙊
There will be no posts for a while because I'm going away.
Thanks for watching, Simen.
