Can you see me now? ✨

All we ever want as #femalecreatives is for our art to be seen and respected in the same way as our male counterparts. Our art is just as valuable. We are not just good enough for being a woman. We are good because our art is good—PERIOD.

Let it go
Let it leave
Let it happen
nothing
in this world
was promised or
belonged to you
anyway
❤️
All you own is yourself- @rupikaur_ ———————————————-

We’re so excited to celebrate Brittany Antoinette of @theideagirl.co as our #SheROCKSNY Graphic Designer of the year!

Brittany Antoinette is an aesthetic architect, digital designer, and CEO of The Idea Girl Design Studio. She is a multidimensional renaissance woman with a background in fashion and marketing, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. One thing she knew, was that she wanted to utilize her skills and talents to empower women of color in business, knowing that access to information and finances are limited to her sisters. The Idea Girl Design Studio focuses on crafting innovative design concepts for print, digital, and websites. Through effective strategy and astonishing aesthetics, she galvanizes girl-bosses into action by helping them brand businesses they love! Her main goal is to pave way for Black women in technology and helping women of color establish economic wealth through entrepreneurship.

We’re so pumped to finally introduce our honorees for #SheROCKSNY 2019. We will be announcing new honorees weekly. Our first honoree is Dr. Jessica Clemons! She is our 2019 Woman of the Year for our #NewYork pop-up in spring 2019.

After graduating from medical school at Cornell in 2015, Dr. Jessica Clemons began her residency training at New York University in psychiatry, a wonderful and often times curious field of medicine. As a black psychiatrist, her unique experience has allowed her to build a progressive community through lessons on self-empowerment, healing, and mental health. To further her mission of serving others, Dr. Clemons currently hosts LIVE Q/A therapy sessions via Instagram every Saturday and Sunday @12pm EST. Each #AskDrJess Live session is accompanied with a playlist inspired by the topic of the day.
