Notice how her shoulders to knees are a straight line and her head is in a good neutral position? Maintaining good posture will make sure you are hitting the muscles you're trying to target, as well as giving you great core and glute activation.

Cranky shoulders when pressing? Keep the ball in the socket!
The top picture shows a good bottom position on a DB Bench. Compare that to the bottom picture where the front of the shoulder is gliding forward in the socket. This can stretch the bicep tendon and labrum in the front of your shoulders, causing discomfort.

Core training is more than doing crunches. There needs to be an "anti" component. Anti flexion, rotation, etc.

Stabilizing your core while moving a limb is something necessary for sports, so we should try to mimic that in the weight room.

Thoracic (ribcage, upper back) Rotation is critical for any rotational sport, examples being baseball, tennis, or hockey. Having good thoracic rotation will take stress off of the shoulder, and gives you a greater range of motion during throws or swings, giving you a longer range we can apply force. You need to be able to rotate around your spine both in spinal flexion and extension.
A couple form cues:
*keep your hips as still as possible, we want the movement in our upper back*
*exhale and push away from the ground with your opposite hand as you rotate*
*turn your head and look up, the neck is part of your spine, you have to rotate your neck too*
