Thank you so much to everyone who came out on Saturday to Luna's!! You guys are absolutely amazing and I'm still in awe from all the love and support for this cause! I am so proud to announce we raised almost $700 for @my_sisters_house, a non profit organization that works to help woman and children in our community who are victims of domestic violence and trafficking and promote awareness on these problems. Sacramento is extremely high if not THE highest in the nation regarding human trafficking. Hidden behind what may appear to be regular suburban homes are woman, children, and men stripped of their identities and enslaved into trafficking such as prostitution or labor force, right here in our city!!! If you see signs such as isolation, bruising, not giving out simple information such as their name, not seeming to have a home, and someone else having ownership over them PLEASE REPORT!!!! Being aware that this is happening all around us is the first step to end trafficking. We need to be the voice for the victims that have theirs taken from them. Change begins with us and after Saturday and because of YOU I have so much hope for the future.
