On Sunday, September 17, 2017, I had the privilege of serving as a judge for the 2017 Miss Southwestern Navajo pageant in Whitecone, Arizona. AXHEE'HE to the current Miss Southwestern Navajo, Kiana Boyd, for being an outstanding role model, and representing the Southwestern region of the Navajo Nation. I'd also like to thank her mom and her family for hosting such a wonderful pageant, and inviting me to judge. โค๏ธ Kiana, you are one of the sweetest people I know. You are amazing! I'm so excited to see what's in store for you.

Wow! Time really does fly when you're having fun. I can't believe my time as your Miss Indian Arizona is coming to an end. With a month left, I can proudly say that by October 14th, 2017 (the day of the Miss Indian Arizona pageant) I will have visited all 22 tribal nations of Arizona. It was one of my goals to do so, and in pursuit I hope that I have represented you all well. This weekend in my hometown of Kayenta, Arizona, we celebrated my year as your Miss Indian Arizona. I want to thank everyone for coming all the way to Kayenta. I know it was probably quite a ways to travel, but I'm happy you all made it safely and got a taste of our Navajo cuisine.

One month left :)

Shadi, job well done! โค๏ธ You are and always will be Miss Navajo. AXHEE'HE. Thank you for your service to our people, for being my an outstanding role model to our younger brothers, sisters, and myself, and for carrying your self with such dignity and grace. I have learned so much from just watching you. :) Just smile, huh? You have truly put your service as our Miss Navajo before everything even yourself, and that's not an easy thing to do. You're amazing! We're about the same age and it's crazy how much you've done! I'm so excited to see what you do next. โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

We walked all the way from New Mexico back to Arizona in the 2017 Navajo Nation Fair Paradeโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™There's really nothing like the Navajo Nation Fair Parade. It's the largest parade I've ever been in and it was my honor to represent all 22 tribes in my own tribal fair parade. โค๏ธ I truly believe in this year's theme, "Respect, Honor, and Remember our Public Safety Officers", and I want to thank all of our Police Officers for the work they do to keep us safe. ๐Ÿ’™ AXHEE'HE! I also want to thank my two helpers today, my little sister Bailey, @baileysmith.08 , and Brody, for holding such a heavy banner! Lol ๐Ÿ’›#navajonationfair #missindianarizona #missindianaz
