Working on my Brise cardigan by Hanna Fettig again. I had neglected this #wip for a couple of month because my gauge is off and I wasn't sure whether it would bother me or not. I decided to knit until I could separate for the sleeves. After trying it on, I decided to finish it 😊
My beloved swift modelling my newly finished #beeswaxhat by @amyvdlaar . The yarn is @madelinetosh DK in the colourway Glazed Pecan. I wanted to knit this pattern for so long but I never enjoyed hat knitting. Only recently I tried knitting them on circulars and now I am addicted. I want to knit all the hats!
My new @willoughby_way bag in action. 😊 Three weeks after both bags arrived I finally got a hold of them. (Swipe for the second one) I absolutely love them both, they are so well done! 😍 To celebrate them I put my newest cast on into the lovely drawstring bag. So thank you so much, @throwstyler , for those gorgeous bags! ❤
Two weeks ago I bought myself my first set of 9inch circulars. This sock and its tiny friend are the result of my first attempt. The first cuff was awful. 😣 It got better with every round and now I enjoy it. Well, nearly. 😆
Well... I certainly don't have enough crafty hobbies. That's why I took out my Grandma's lace pillow and tried some lace making. I really loved to wrestle with the ever tangled bobbins and I am quite pleased how my first try turned out. My Grandma must have taught me how to make this when I was a child because my hands remembered the movements but sadly I can't recall it. She passed in November and relearning her favourite craft today made me feel close to her. 💚
My Dad wearing his new hat that I knit for his birthday. It's the Lake Reed pattern and yarn is Malabrigo Rios. I used circular needles for the first the with this project and it was very enjoyable. I usually don't like to knit hats but those needles might change my mind.
I finished the Lake Reed hat yesterday evening and how I have to take some sneaky pictures of it without my Dad noticing. Since I don't have enough wips I cast on the Peppercorn Pullover by Amanda Kaffka. The yarn is bulky cashmere held together with alpaca.
First cast on in 2018: the Marled Mania Leggings by @westknits. I decided to use the green yarn on the right throughout the whole leggings but I'm not sure if I have enough so maybe they will turn out completely different. I absolutely love it so far and it knits up quite fast.
Another christmas knitting project: flower socks for my mum. She requested a pair of socks that are a little bit higher and of course I'm happy to deliver. I found the little flower pattern in a German knitting pattern book and edited it just enough to fit my stitch count. The beautiful yarns are both Irish and hand dyed but unfortunately I wound the tags deep into the cake and I can't get it out 😩
It's quite busy here right now and even though I've knitted a fair bit I didn't manage to take pictures. I do participate in the Novita Knits Christmas Calender Sock knitalong and I love it. The picture has crappy lightning but the pattern is just so lovely 😍
Fighting all the moths! While organising my stash today I found traces of moth infestation between my skeins. After freaking out I put them all in plastic bags with some chemical stuff to kill all the bugs and now I have a huge pile of plastic bags in my living room. No moth shall survive!
