Sense  No one with complex communication needs, including those who are deafblind, should be isolated, left out or unable to fulfil their potential.

This is Kevin and Barry. 10 years ago, Kevin, who's visually impaired, was supported by Barry, who works for Sense, to move from the family home and into Sense accommodation to live independently.

Kevin has always remembered Barry, and wanted to reunite with him. So last week, as part of an initiative to connect people across our services, Kevin and Barry met up for the first time in 10 years for some cake, a coffee and a chat! ☕️ #ConnectingDifferently [Image shows two photos of the same two smiling men, arm in arm. One photo was taken recently, the other was taken 10 years ago.]

Happy #HelenKellerDay! Helen Keller was born on 27 June, 1880. She was a world famous deafblind American author and activist, instrumental in raising awareness of deafblindness among the public. Deafblind Awareness Week has always taken place during the week of her birthday. 🎂 [Image shows text that reads "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart" - Helen Keller. Next to the text is a black and white photograph of Helen Keller.]

Happy #SelfieDay! This selfie is from Scott and Sense Support Worker Ruth. Scott is visually impaired. He loves the experience of going to the cinema, especially movies like #SoloAStarWarsStory where sound effects help tell the story.
