LEFT: July. 112lbs. 1 Week Post Show. Reverse Dieting. Full OTF 2-3x a week. Lifting 4x a week.
RIGHT: May. 122lbs (currently 120lbs). 8 Weeks Out from Powerlifting. Cutting for the 52kg Weight Class (114lbs). 1/2 OTF classes 2-3x a week. Lifting 5x a week. .
You need to be in a caloric surplus and lift consistently to gain muscle mass. In high school and college I was a runner. Never lifted a day in my life. 105-110lbs and never had definition in my core.

Iโ€™ve been lifting for the past 6 years and since then have received advice from strength and conditioning coaches and friends in each sport on lifting techniques and nutrition ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ (you know who you are) This past year I also hired two coaches who specialize in their fields and Itโ€™s helped me learn more about myself because there was someone looking at my training and nutrition from the outside. @ctbbfit @tina_tornado ๐Ÿ’•

I currently am handling my own nutrition and am Iโ€™m noticing all the hard work paying off. Iโ€™m able to eat more food and still lose weight. Iโ€™m leaner with abs at 122lbs than I was at 110lbs. Although I still use the scale to track progress, I no longer associate my physique with a certain number on the scale. My current weight on an younger version of me would looked a LOT different ๐Ÿ˜‚ .
Big take away: #Embracethegains. If youโ€™re trying to lose fat and have a certain goal weight donโ€™t forget to think about how you feel or maybe how your clothes fit. The scale is just one tool!

I just started doing sumo deadlifts about 2 years ago and am constantly working on my form. Some days are better than others! Hard to see at this angle, but my shoulders are ALMOST over the bar. Itโ€™s a mobility issue that Iโ€™m currently working on! The grind continues. ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ #Friday #friyay

#FlashbackFriday to the grand opening of @otfsmyrna !! I still remember this day. I graduated in the afternoon with my Masters in Exercise Physiology and came straight to the studio in the evening with the entire staff and founding members meeting some of my favorite coaches, owners, manager and members to this day! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ Then the next morning I taught the first officially FRIYAY classes at 5am. ๐Ÿ™ˆ.
