This is a @tabriamajors appreciation post PLUS
Some time last year I noticed marks on my stomach that I'd never seen before. Don't get me wrong, I'm no stranger to stretch marks but I've never had any on my tummy and I haven't seen them red since I was a teeny weeny teen so I was kind of stunned to find them. I also noticed that I basically went into cardiac arrest after climbing a simple flight of stairs so I figured it was high time to do something about it. I got myself a gym card and faced my fears, trust me I have never ever ever ever even remotely liked or understood the concept of working out. Like I used to cringe at the thought of breaking into a sweat but listen guys THIS CAN ACTUALLY BE THE SHIT.
My brain on dopamine is straight fire I tell you. Sharp as a perfect line of eyeliner. I have the luxury of having a great coach (@sondlo 💪🏾🔥) that has shown me the wonders of being strong. Like I can actually walk with my head high 4 real now because my muscles actually have the strength to hold me up straight.
I fail all the time (haven't been to the actual gym for about 1 month now for example) but I finally understand and believe that the key to this is to not give up. Stay POSITIVE and understand that failing is as big a part of this as winning.
I'm going back to the gym on Monday with noooo fucking anxiety (daily reminder x 100)
Drink some water, get some sleep, listen to afrobeat and @thethickpodcast KEEP GOING💪🏾
