👏👏 to the women behind Make Yourself At Home! And women everywhere, tbh. #Repost @mooreaseal ・・・
Shout out to a few of the many amazing women who helped make my latest book, Make Yourself at Home, come to life! (Ps, That little baby I’m holding is @prim__parker! The daughter of @brooke_eide who is on the left.) Tonight we had a fun private event with @seattlerefined and @komo4 celebrating the book. A few of the amazing women who were featured in MYAH and who worked on it and I got to chat a bit about the process, plus we gave some personal tips on decorating and favorite local places to hunt for furniture and decor treasures.
I’ll tell ya, every woman who worked on the book or who was featured in it means a whole lot to me. ALL of the people who helped me create my book, my editor Hannah, the art director Anna, our marketing queen Corinna, the photographer @marissamaharaj, the illustrator and letterer @juliamanchik, plus so many more, are women who kickass in their chosen careers. They all put in serious work to make not only my latest book but all my books come to life. Serious woman power.
I wish we could have had every woman featured in the book here for the event! But we were lucky to have a few of my favorite local ladies here to chat about the book with me. Left to right: @brooke_eide is a creative powerhouse, owns @flintmade alongside her husband @tylereide, styles interiors through her own company @_fonchie (she designed my store front and Flint did all our branding!) Shes someone I admire for her strong will and determination and she’s featured in the Dining Room section of my book along with her space.
@juliamanchik and I have gotten to do three books together thanks to finding each other on Instagram many years ago. She did the photography and illustration for the first two 52 Lists journals and the illustrations for Make Yourself at Home! Her creative intuition is on point and her energy is always so calming and loving.
@maraboudesign is like the perfect balance of water and fire, centered and focused, vibrant and full of life and passion. She and her home are featured in the Living Room section of Make Yourself at Home.
