Ring of Kafrene

The Ring of Kafrene, also referred to simply as Kafrene, was a mining colony and deep-space trading post in the Kafrene asteroid belt of the Thand sector.

Polis Masa

Polis Massa was an asteroid field located in the Subterrel sector of the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories, far from any major hyperspace lanes. At some point, Polis Massa was a planet located within the system of the same name until it was destroyed by a mysterious cataclysm.

The Archaeological Research Council of Kallidah established a base on one asteroid in order to excavate its surface to study the reasons behind the planet's destruction.

Scarif

Scarif was a remote, tropical planet in the Abrion sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Although a small and idyllic world, Scarif played an important part in the Galactic Empire's military-industrial complex, becoming a center for top-secret research beyond inspection distance of the Imperial Senate.

Among the projects developed here was the Death Star battle station, a construction so important the entire planet was covered by a planetary deflector shield that could be entered via a Shield Gate.

Takodana

Takodana was a planet located in the Mid Rim, though it fell in the southwestern region of the galaxy known as the Western Reaches.

Covered in lush forests and small lakes, Takodana was a popular departure point that offered easy access to trade routes that connected the Inner and Outer Rim. For those heading outwards toward the galactic periphery, the planet was seen as a last taste of civilization, while those heading Corewards saw it a last grasp of frontier living.

Tatooine

Tatooine orbits two main sequence binary stars and it has three moons, Ghomrassen, Guermessa and Chenini. Its G-type twin stars (Tatoo I and Tatoo II) heat its surface, making water and shade hard to come by.

The planet's indigenous lifeforms, such as the Womp rat, bantha, Sarlacc, and Krayt Dragon are well-adapted to its arid climate, but human settlers often become moisture farmers and live in subterranean dwellings in order to survive.
The planet's lack of resources, brutal heat, and decentralized population have made governing the planet nearly impossible.

Utapau

Utapau was a remote planet in the Outer Rim Territories' Utapau system that was filled with enormous sinkholes. Its native inhabitants were the Pau'ans and the Utai, while tribes of Amani also immigrated to the world. It was the location of the Battle of Utapau during the Clone Wars.

Hundreds of years before the Clone Wars, the native Pau'ans lived on Utapau's surface while the Utai colonists lived underground. Eventually, worsening hyperwind storms forced the Pau'ans to move underground with the Utai, building combined cities into the ledges of giant sinkholes.

Yavin 4

Yavin 4 was the jungle-covered fourth moon in orbit around the red gas giant Yavin.
At some point during the Galactic Civil War, it hosted the headquarters of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, a group of resistance fighters that opposed the dominant Galactic Empire.

The moon's landmasses were covered by dense jungles and rain forests whose flora included purple-barked Massassi trees, grenade fungi, bioluminescent orchids, and climbing ferns. Yavin 4 also had swampy areas.
