Texas hospitality is no joke. I hope this goes viral. So I have been gone from Texas for over a year. I've tried to explain to people not familiar with it, the experience that is Whataburger. Driving back to Texas, I saved my weekly cheat points, savoring the thought of one whataburger meal with a delicious milkshake. After driving 9 hours, with 1 more to go before I could stop for the night, I spotted the orange peak of loveliness, the gleaming "W" that means yum. I thought perhaps this is a good time, I'm hungry and it should get me the last little ways. Lo and behold a new shake flavor to try since I've been gone! I was excited. I pulled up to order only to find out their machine was down for cleaning. Oh sad day! Denied! The people inside felt my pain, they offered for me to come back any other time for a free shake. I laughed and said that's ok, I'm just passing through I won't be here again. I ordered my meal, my total with tax was $6.70. I proceeded on my way, chatted a bit, got my change and went on my way.
After finally making it to my motel, I got out and got checked in. I returned to park, and noticed something on the floor of my car. These lovely kids slipped this in my window when I wasn't looking- I found it on the floor of my car. They didn't have to do that- truly I can survive without a shake. Not to mention that's practically the cost of my whole meal! People may hate on Texas right now with all the political crap going on, but the people are still awesome- and truly hospitable. I wish I had those kids names, but since I don't I'm posting this. Please repost and I hope they see it! #whataburger #whitesborotexas #texas #hospitality #customerservice #whitesboro #milkshake #payitforward
