Why did I become a trainer? This sport right here. I was a competitive tennis player that was homeschooled to compete nationally and to play professionally as my career. All I knew was the sport of tennis. What I didn’t know was the biomechanics and kinesthetics behind the sport..the backbones of athletics. I thought training everyday for countless hours (through pain) would be the way I would become the best tennis player in the world. Needless to say, I was over-trained and sustained a career-ending injury. This was a major wake up call for me and the reason I chose to get my degree in Kinesiology. I wanted to help others EFFECTIVELY train to reach their goals! During my studies, I learned how to listen to the body and the ways exercise affects the body. As an athlete, I learned to believe in myself and that setbacks happen, but defeat is a choice.
