REMINDER! New schedules and routes go into effect on Monday, August 20th--your line's route or schedule might be different. Grab a new schedule guide, check the website, or follow the link in our bio to see if yours has changed. #sbmtd #servicechanges

Great news for Carpinteria commuters: As of August 20, 2018, the adjusted morning schedule for the Seaside Shuttle (Line 36) will help get Carpinterians down to the Amtrak station in time to make the northbound Pacific Surfliner heading to Santa Barbara and Goleta. To top it all off, show the driver of the Seaside Shuttle your valid Surfliner ticket and your ride to the train station is free! No need to park and ride anymore--just ride and ride. For exact schedule times, follow the link in our bio and check out pages 124-126 of the new schedule guide. #carpinteria #sbmtd #amtrak #servicechanges

ATTENTION LINE 20 & 21X RIDERS: Our new route and schedule changes go into effect on Monday, August 20, 2018, and there's a change to our Carpinteria-serving Lines 20 & 21x: we're improving frequency and adding trips to the Line 20 while we suspend Line 21x service due to freeway congestion. Read on for details.

The basics on Line 20:
*Arrivals into SB every 15 minutes from 7a-8a on weekdays
*Departures from SB every 15 minutes from 5p-6p on weekdays
*Other AM and PM peak frequency both ways every 30 minutes on weekdays
*Midday service with 40 minute headways on weekdays
*Improved schedules for better on-time performance
*No Line 21x service

The construction and congestion on Highway 101 was causing the 21x to functionally lose its "express" nature, often being beat to Carpinteria by the Line 20. While temporarily suspending the Line 21x service, we are boosting the Line 20 frequency which will provide more frequent service to SB's Eastside, Montecito, Summerland and Carpinteria.

HEY, LINE 15X RIDERS! Our new route and schedule changes go into effect on Monday, August 20, 2018, and there's a big change to the Line 15x serving Santa Barbara City College and UC Santa Barbara/Isla Vista: the route is different! Read on and see the map for details.

The basics:
* Simplified all-day routing
* Additional daily trips
* More all-day capacity to get from UCSB to IV
* No longer serving the rest of the Mesa/Carrillo Hill

Instead of the confusing different AM vs. PM routing, Line 15x will run in the same direction all day: Starting at UCSB North Hall, down El Colegio serving IV, down Storke serving Camino Real Marketplace, then onto the 101 South and off at Castillo. It will serve Pershing Park stop, then loop around the campus and make the final drop at the SBCC Main Campus stop on Cliff at Loma Alta. Heading outbound, it will go left on Castillo, onto 101 North and the 217, then to UCSB, serving Elings Hall and North Hall.

Remember that new routing will begin on August 20th, but the 15x will still be on the alternate schedule until SBCC Fall session begins on August 27th. Follow the link in our bio to check out schedule times on pages 84-87 of the new schedule guide. #sbcc #ucsb #sbmtd #servicechanges

Our annual service changes will go into effect on Monday, August 20, 2018. We've made changes on these lines: 5, 7, 15x, 20, 21x, 27, and 36 (Seaside Shuttle). For details and to see the new Schedule Guide, visit the link in our bio.

We'll be highlighting the major changes throughout this week, so stay tuned!

Whether you call it Fiesta or Fiestas or Old Spanish Days--it's here! Remember to celebrate responsibly and ride the bus to your favorite mercado (but take your confetti with you, please). During the parades on Friday and Saturday we'll have detours-- see below for details.

During the parade on Friday, Lines 2, 14, 20, & 21x will originate from our "temporary Transit Center" at the Library stop at Anacapa/Anapamu when State Street closes from 11a-4p. During the closure, we will have a "U-Shuttle" bridge service between the Transit Center & the Library.
Lines 1 & 2 and 5 & 14 will not be interlined at that time.

Starting around 11a and lasting until 4p, the Crosstown Shuttle will not cross State St in either direction and will not serve stops at Micheltorena & State and Anacapa & Sola.

The Downtown State Street Shuttle will not run until 4pm, and the Waterfront Shuttle will only run between the Zoo and Garden Street.

THIS IS EXCITING: We're creating a new design for our next bus order and we want your input!
Our branding and colors have changed, and that means our next set of new buses being built early next year will look different from the yellow and white you see on the road today. Please click the link in our bio to the short survey to see full designs and give feedback!

More superhero bus art--this is a Marketing Department favorite. This one comes from Isabell P. from Washington School. She is a 3rd Grader with a great sense of humor and she's an awesome artist! She received 2nd Place and her art will be featured throughout our buses soon. #sbmtd #artcontest
