Cake Piping are honestly one of my very favorite things to do in cake. I am so thankful I was taught very well. I loved my days as lead cake designer at The White Flower Cake Shop. I remember being very new at my job and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on all the fondant work. But Marianne and Lauren kept saying to me that I need to learn those buttercream skills well, because it is the base of all that I would do and build upon for other cake things I will do. So I sat in the corner with an upside down plastic bucket and I practiced and I practiced. I wanted to get so good that no one could tell who piped it. Me or my mentors. So today when I pipe a cake I still get a little nervous, but I hear their voices encouraging me. “You got this Gingy, balls out! “ lol! Love those girls. I am so proud I did learn those Buttercream skills. It will never go out of style, it can be classic, modern, unique, sweet, clean and beautiful and it taste so gosh darn good.
