Never underestimate the power of self publishing.

A handful of home

The first ever @overherezinefest is coming up soon❗️It’s a space that showcases and celebrates zines + other DIY crafts by people of colour! Free+ open to all, so please bring your friends and family to this diverse and inclusive space and a chance to learn more about the importance of self publishing and zine culture 💥 #overherezinefest

working on something a lil different, something I wish I had as a hairy brown kid, something I could associate with, hold tightly, read to and pass onto my sisters

carry a tiny thing in your socks for reassurance

here’s to the 24th year of living in a constant state of confusion, exhaustion and fomo #feelingsinphotobooth

I still have a hand full of old prints ready to go to loving homes of riso enthusiasts, including this piece of queer Mughal women, inspired by a poem by the medieval Arabic poet, Ulayya bint al-Mahdi (Link in bio)

This pride, I’m thinking more of all the aunties who never married, the uncles who are fighting through toxic masculinity in their spaces, the cousins you are forced to cut ties with without reason, the queer sibling you are no longer allowed to contact. This is a zine about your narrative, a letter that got lost in transition, surviving in displaced environments, separation and acceptance. If you would like to contribute, then please email me any text or graphic submissions to tenderhandspress@gmail.com

This month’s @tenderhandspress’ SZL fund is going towards @glasgowzinelib‼️If you can spare a quid then please do support your local zine libraries and community spaces. You can purchase the badge at @tenderhandspress’ shop.
