Victorian Applesauce Cake 🍎🌰 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoonp allspice
pinch of salt
1 stick butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cup applesauce
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins
powdered sugar for dusting
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour the bundt pan and set aside.
Mix the flour with baking powder, baking soda, spices and salt. Stir well and set aside.
In a large bowl, beat the butter with the sugar, add the eggs, heavy cream and applesauce and mix well. Add walnuts and raisins and mix gently until smooth.
Pour the batter in the prepared pan and bake the cake for about one hour.
Let it cool off for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a rack.
Generously dust the surface with powdered sugar before serving.

Do you like it #spicy as much as we do? 🌢πŸ”₯ Spicy Roasted Cauliflower:
for 4 people
2 small cauliflowers
4-5 tbsp extra-virgin olive
cumin, turmeric, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper: as needed
2 handfuls pine nuts
mint, cilantro, lime juice: as needed
Cut cauliflowers into florets, rinse and drain them. Drizzle with olive oil and spices to taste. Spread on a baking sheet and bake at 425 for about 30 or 40 minutes, until it is quite tender.
Add chopped mint and cilantro, the pine nuts toasted in a pan, and plenty of lime juice. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

πŸ’πŸ“πŸŽ‚ Cherry Clafoutis
400-450 gr cherries
2 eggs 🍳
50 gr sugar + 3 tbsp
30 gr flour
1 tbsp almond flour
70 gr heavy whipping cream
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
cinnamon, grated πŸ‹ peel, salt: to taste
powdered sugar, for dusting
Wash the cherries πŸ’ and cut the stalk. In a large pan, melt the butter, add the cherries, 50 gr. of sugar, grated lemon peel and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Cook for a little less than 10 minutes, until sugar has dissolved and the juice has thickened. Place cherries on the bottom of a 9-inch round baking pan (or use two smaller ones). Beat the yolks with 3 tablespoons of sugar and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Add cream, flour and almond flour and mix well. In another bowl, beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until soft peaks form, and gently fold them in the egg-flour mixture. Pour the batter over the cherries and, if necessary, stir it a bit so that cherries won't end up all on the bottom.
Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes, until the surface turns a golden color. Let it cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar.
