Would you be surprised if I told you I have never ever used a cleansing oil before? Well, it's true. I have never. But then I was given a chance to try out the K-beauty brand Whamisa, I immediately requested to try the cleansing oil from the brand because of the positive reviews I've read and heard. And boy did it deliver!
What it is:
A Hazelnut and Olive oil-based cleansing oil that removes makeup and sunscreen like a dream. Together with Avocado oil, Licorice root, Chrysanthemum flower, and a bunch of other botanical extracts (some fermented) to leave skin hydrated and conditioned while all traces of makeup, sunscreen agents, and dirt/dust are removed. Free of parabens, SLS and mineral oil.
I have been using this cleansing oil for over 1 week now and I can proudly stand by its efficacy, and claims of skin conditioning, deep cleansing, balancing and non-pore clogging. I really love this oil cleanser! I pump 1.5 pumps onto my palm, massage gently and in small circular motion over my entire face (eye are included) and rinse off with lukewarm water. No need to even 'emulsify' it as the cleansing oil just gets washed away with water. Sometimes, I just step right under my shower and let the water rinse the oil away. Believe me when I say that there isn't any oily residue at all after the rinse. Seriously, why was I so resistant to trying a cleansing oil before this?
At $40 /150ml, for something that will eventually be washed down the drain, it can be deemed an extravagant purchase. I am not saying otherwise. But, convincing someone who was quite hesitant about using a cleansing oil to being a convert, I think it is saying a lot about a product.
PS. It contains a plethora of botanical oils and extracts, so please look through the ingredient list to see if there are any red flags that you are aware of.
