Today, I want to take time to share how my fitness journey all began; marathon running. I embarked into the fitness world by beginning with running my first marathon. The 2015 NYC Marathon, finishing with a time of 3 hours and 48 minutes. After that race, I knew that I had a gift and a new passion; marathon running. Shortly after that race, I got talked into running the Rock ’n’ Roll Los Angeles Marathon and took 14 minutes off of my time, did the same in San Diego and qualified for Boston & crushed it. 🏃🏻♀️ This year, I plan to return even STRONGER. At that point, I thought to myself “what next?” and still pondered over that thought. I knew I had to do something other than just run, so I joined a gym; Equinox. The membership advisor tried to sell me on personal training and I almost laughed in her face thinking I was too good for that and knew how to properly train myself. Fast forward to now and I took a complete career change going from a 9-5 corporate digital advertising job to pursuing a career as an Equinox Personal Trainer based out of the Rockefeller Center location. My passion for fitness and for changing the lives of individuals every day is something that I want to do not only for a living, but for my career. I want to help people to understand that fitness is a lifestyle, not just something you do to workout. It’s important to move and to move well in and outside of the gym. Here I am today as one of the top trainers at Equinox Rockefeller Center. I haven’t looked back once and this is only the beginning. It’s been challenging, scary and financially taxing all at the same time, but nothing less than rewarding, inspiring, fun and overall amazing. In additional to training, I’m also an influencer, a brand ambassador for various health, fitness and wellness brands, the social lead for @zeamo and plan to keep growing myself in the fitness world! I am so thrilled to be a part of the fitness community and I hope I encourage you all to do what you love, what you’re passionate about and what motivates you. You only live once! 😉
