Life is like a waterfall, it is always flowing and always an uneven flow to it 🌊
Dont be surprised when things don’t go your way. The best captains are not the ones who have traveled the smoothest sea’s 🌊
Learn to adapt and overcome whatever life throws at you. I think people don’t realize how good it is that life isn’t fair. If it was, just imagine how boring it would be and repetitive. We would turn old and have the same story as the next person🙅🏽‍♂️

Four weeks left in this diet. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Four pounds left to lose.
Around this point is when I start feeling like 💩. My energy levels decrease with less body fat and especially the calories I’m eating (or the lack of them 😂).
These are the weeks where you need to remain focus and remind yourself why you started. The hardest part for me is being able to push through the cravings and realize I’m only this hungry because of the lack of calories. The second I start increasing my calories post diet, I know I won’t crave the same foods. Try not to focus on binging after your diet also🍕🌭🍔🍪🌮🥓🥞🧀🍻🍷🍪🍭🥧🍰🍨🍩 Remember what the point of the diet was (to get to a healthier body fat and learn to partition nutritions better than my previous self could). Slowly increase calories and never go full “screw it” mode for a week or weekend. Maybe a day and that’s it 😌

When you actually wear something non gym related 🤭 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I actually feel like I don’t own enough gym clothes but I guess that’s cause I live there and go through so much laundry 😂
Anyways, I hope you guys have all had productive week so far. I’ve been busy with work and side projects I’m working on. Don’t take being busy as a bad thing but a privilege. If you have time to dedicate to something and improve it. Then you aren’t busy but productive. Happy hump day folks 🤙🏽🍂🌺

The only person I strive to beat is myself.
Whether it’s to lose weight and look better at the same body weight than last year, or if it’s too add more weight to a lift. Even the little things like slowing the tempo on a exercise or maybe increasing the level on the stair master for my high intensity interval. Hell, even the ability to hold a pose for longer than before gets me excited.
These things are very small when you look at the grand scheme of things but as humans, we live for progress and are satisfied by it. Don’t be ignorant to look for these little progression. The human body does in fact change overtime. It’s your job to track what you do so you can adjust these changes to your goals/liking.

Squats are the perfect analogy for life.
It’s about standing back up after something heavy takes you down.

When you hit a new low weigh-in for the morning (184lbs)😁🔥🔥🔥
⏩ (Swipe Right) This was my starting point last year (May 2017)at 188lbs and that right photo was my end weight after 12 weeks of dieting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚫️ I’m also eating way more food than I ever have at this body fat percentage and feeling fuller than ever. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚪️Be patient and gain weight at a slow rate. Don’t blow up and eat a bunch of junk when you aren’t dieting. Track your food so that you can gain weight at a gradual increase and lose it at a gradual rate also.

🤙🏽This week has been such an eye opening week for me. I’ve been doing more self finding and self reflecting. I’ve been trying to appreciate more and expect less. Watching as toxic people slowly leave my life while new ones enter it. The world is a fascinating thing in the sense that it becomes what you see it as. It may be the same thing day in and day out. It may be that same commute, same job and same gym everyday. These things are normal. What’s not is thinking that these things are the only things you are capable of experiencing or seeing. The world is vast and easily accessible. I understand there’s responsibilities to living and you can’t just drop everything for a dream. The action you can take though is a step towards your dream. Going to that seminar for that job or hobby you always had. Watching others perform what you wish you could. There’s so many tools to our life (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc) that we don’t utilize. You can learn that hobby you want. You can learn the market for that “thing” you’ve wanted to invest your time and money in. All these lifestyle transformation are possible and have been done before (most being documented and giving steps to reach your goals). Trust the process and love the journey. It’ll only get you one step closer to achieving whatever life experiences you desire 🤙🏽

“You have to be selfish before you can be self less”
Out of all the quotes I’ve ever heard. This one resonates with me the most. I’ve always had trouble justifying why I feel like I’m always critiquing myself and trying to improve. It’s because I’m focusing on myself, I’m being selfless so that I can make myself happy, successful, and at ease with where my life is.
I think a lot of people forget about focusing on there self and always end up worrying about others. This is human nature but we can not lives and we have our own struggles. These struggles need attention to detail and constant effort. Working on yourself will only free you up in the future to fully give back to others. Whether what you desire to give is attention, money, etc. When you accumulate success in your personal life, there will reach a point where you will eventually have your success pour into the lives of people around you.

It’s the weekend and I’ve been trying to take these last weekends as a chance to get outside as much as possible. I know it sounds cliche but I really believe not enough people get out enough and it’s been shown to cause issues in mood stemmed from deficiencies in vitamin D which endocrinologist state is a hormone as much as vitamin. Its not just just the vibe that comes from rainy days and long winters but actual science at play. Supplementation is always an after thought when caught with these issues but I think most experts will agree that the natural way (actually going outside) is best ☀️ so go for a bike, grab the dog for a walk, find a trail, do some work outside, and call a friend if possible. Anything that will get you outside and aware of the present moment is a good thing in my book 📚
