Credit to @gunslikegardone : There is no magic pill, no quick fix. You have to put in the work, and I mean in the kitchen. I bought the RP templates and just completed 12 weeks of a cut. Didn't follow it to an exact T, but I was pretty damn close. Fitness is not a destination, but a journey. Different goals and life priorities= a different path.

Credit to @sober_running_mom21 : I'll be honest I'm horrible at sticking with eating plans cause most of them take away everything I love to eat (like bread and other carbs!) and restrict me from everything else that's tasty (and I don't like using the word "diet" cause it automatically puts me in a mental state for failure) so I'm trying not to fail on my new eating plan from @rpstrength! Thats why I'm planning for success by doing more healthy grocery shopping and food prep! This plus lots of chicken breasts and eggs should last me a few daysπŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

I have just been awarded a research grant from the good people at Renaissance Periodization, @rpstrength ! I'm extremely excited about this development for our research program, as the project combines my personal interests in nutrition with my longstanding professional interests in cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. In the study, we will be testing the influence of a diet based on RP's new Healthy Diet Templates on blood glucose control, body composition, and a variety of cardiovascular health markers. *

The Healthy Diet Templates are essentially a simplified version of the well-known auto diet templates, designed for people who need to lose a bit of weight and not necessarily perform at high levels athletically. My theory is that some elements of the RP approach, namely higher protein intake and strategic timing of meals throughout the day, will be of great health benefit to clinical populations (overweight, obese, diabetic). *

Excited for the opportunity to put novel ideas to the test by partnering with a highly respected company whose methods are based on science and who have demonstrated a commitment to the scientific process. For example, when I asked RP CEO @nick.shaw.rp about publishing the eventual results of the study, regardless of the outcome, he did not hesitate and indicated that RP is looking forward to seeing the results however they turn out. Can't really beat that in terms of integrity! .
