From 137 down to 117 in just 3 months! 🙌💪
"This was not my first “cut” experience with RP Strength, but it was my first cut where I stuck to the program. I originally bought my templates in January 2017 and cut for a while but then decided to stick to it 50/50 and gained all my weight PLUS MORE back. After the holidays and splurging (a lot) I saw a picture of myself and decided to start back on the cut cycle then RP announced the contest so that helped motivate me. I was on base for a couple of weeks and wasn’t seeing any progress, so I went to cut 1. Still seeing no progress on the scale but seeing physical changes. I then went to cut 2 where I stayed for most of the time and I was seeing physical and scale changes plus my friends were noticing I wasn’t as “fluffy”. I was on cut 2.5 (I didn’t want to drop to super low carbs, so I ate between 2-3 carb amounts) for the last 2 weeks and I ended up losing roughly 20 pounds. My abs still aren’t popping like I’d like but that will happen eventually! I can’t thank RP enough for teaching me how to eat and showing me what I can look like if I just put my mind to cutting! If you are on the fence about doing it then I say JUMP RIGHT IN!"

"I have never in my life been more proud, more motivated, and more impressed with myself. January 1, 2018 marks the day that I, not anyone else, finally decided to take control of my life, and it all started with this contest! Anyone can see the physical change. I’ve gone from 170.8 pounds to 141.9 pounds, and I’ve managed to maintain my strength. These changes are from diet alone, because I haven’t changed my training regimen whatsoever. What is so much more valuable to me than the physical changes are the lessons I’ve learned and the freedom I’ve gained throughout the last 12 weeks. My mental capacity far exceeds what I ever thought it could. I no longer have to convince myself to say no to candy or junk because those things are quite simply nonnegotiable now. I don’t have to say no to social gatherings because I lack the will power to not fill three plates at a pot luck or because I am embarrassed to bring my own food and have to explain myself to everyone. Instead that embarrassment has turned into a platform to tell someone else how I’m becoming a healthier me and how they can do the same. I am no longer held captive by my sweet tooth or continual overeating. Those excuses are just that...excuses. I finally understand the concept of moderation and no longer fear the binge streak that will inevitably follow even the tiniest “cheat treat.” A new foundation has been set. I can finally mark food off my list of greatest fears, because it no longer has a hold on me. For this I am eternally grateful! I also PRd my backsquat by 10 pounds and finally am able to string together strict pull-ups. Last summer I got a few single pull-ups (maybe 5 total) but haven’t been able to do them again since. Now I do sets of 2 regularly. "After two back-to-back Cat 5 Hurricanes I was at my heaviest @ 241 lbs with a 39 inch waist. I decided to give RP a shot after squeaking by my weigh-ins with the USCG. The competition was an added bonus. I learned that no one is going to meal prep for you and that when you fully commit to the meal templates, they work wonders. Yes, I even ate ALL my veggies. I kept it simple, mostly. Sweet potatoes, broccoli, spinach, chicken, ground turkey, and walnuts were all staples in my diet.

I coupled the diet templates with the Men’s Physique Training Templates. The hardest part of the process was doing all the dishes from meal prep. To be successful Just rate your workouts consistently, stick to the plan, and stay the course. The magic of RP will follow. My success was directly proportionate to the effort I put in both in and out of the gym. If you’re reading this and on the edge of trying RP… Do it! Jump in and fully commit! I lost 16 lbs, 2 inches in my neck, and 3 inches on my waist. I finished my cut around 9 weeks and then switched to maintenance and maintained the past month and a half at a weight of 225lbs-226lbs.

Water weight fluctuations will occur regardless of your diet compliance. Just keep that in mind so you don't get frustrated with the progress.
#
Hard training, sodium, cheat meals, sleep, stress, hormonal cycles, etc all can lead to water weight fluctuations. Stressing out over it can sometimes even make things worse. Be logical and make notes on how/why it occurred so you're ready for it the next time it occurs.

"have been following the principles of RP since 2015 when I decided to shed some baby weight after my oldest daughter who is now 4 years old. I had success with my first cut and then maintained my weight for a period of 2 years until I got pregnant with my 2nd in early 2017. Although I took a break from religiously meal prepping and following the templates to the T while pregnant, I stayed very active with CF throughout my entire pregnancy because I was afraid of falling too far behind and really having to start from zero post pregnancy.

Fast forward to August 2017 when I gave birth to my 2nd baby girl and having gained 35 lbs during pregnancy, I knew I had tons of weight to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy self at 115lbs. With the encouragement of my CF gym, I slowly started to chip away and set out to run my first half marathon the day after I started this RP challenge in Jan with a starting weight of 124lbs. It was a great start to the challenge and just what I needed to keep pushing hard during what I thought was my weight loss plateau. I set forth the goal to stay consistent in my training at the gym and started meal prepping alongside my hubby.

As one knows, mom life can be quite challenging and most people ask me how is it that I can train 5X per week at 5 am?!?! I always say that training is my "me time" and really keeps me sane to be a better mom for my girls. Since I was not a newbie to RP, I knew exactly what it was going to take to get the results I wanted. I knew it was going to take time, lots of time dedicated to meal prepping and consistency in the gym, but I was determined to reach my goal. Along with following the RP weight loss templates, I train consistently 6X per week doing CF while also adding in 4 mile runs before class 2x per week (if I'm not too beat up). Although the challenge is over and I've reached my pre-baby weight of 115lb, the work doesn't stop; I feel motivated and stronger than ever as I commence the maintenance RP phase.
