Youโ€™ve been warned...#nomoremrniceguy

Itโ€™s true! Itโ€™s a thing. We vegans are alive and healthy. Or are we all dead and just donโ€™t know it??? Like Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense??? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ#arewedeadyet

Iโ€™ll never understand fighting to support animal cruelty ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ. When you argue against Veganism, youโ€™re arguing against compassion. Why? #howcancompassionoffendyou?

Why eating animals is not a personal choice.
๐ŸšจWarning: Although this is extremely heartbreaking, it is reality.
WHEN YOU EAT MEAT HE DOESN'T EAT!
What does eating meat have to do with world hunger?
According to a US Department of Agriculture statistical bulletin, 80% of the agricultural land in the US is used to raise animals. Time Magazine reports that we feed 70% of the grains and cereals grown in the US to livestock. This is very ineffective because most of the feed gets wasted and only a small amount of the protein is converted to flesh. Animals require many times more calories - in forms of grain, soybean, oats, and corn - then they return in the form of meat.
_
The FAO reports that livestock now use 30% of the Earth's entire land surface - mostly permanent pasture, but also including 33% of the global arable land, which is used to produce feed for livestock. The University of Chicago notes that raising animals for food requires 10 times as many crops as we would need if we just ate the grains directly. If we were not using all that land to grow crops to fatten chickens, pigs, and cows, we could reforest millions of acres in the US alone. Or, we could use the grain that are not wasted on livestock to feed all the starving people in the world many times over.
_
It takes up to 13 lb of grain to produce 1 lb of meat. Read that line again. Now imagine taking 12 lb of food and throwing it into the garbage. Seems wasteful? Because it is.
_
While 60% of the grain grown is fed to farmed animals to produce a small amount of meat... Millions of people who could have eaten that grain died of starvation from a lack of food.
_
This year, five million people will die because they didn't have enough to eat. If you want to stop this, there is one simple choice that you can make three times a day that will make a difference: STOP EATING ANIMALS!

Many people who know pigs compare them to dogs because they are friendly, loyal, and intelligent. Pigs are naturally very clean and avoid, if at all possible, soiling their living areas. When given the chance to live away from factory farms, pigs will spend hours playing, lying in the sun, and exploring their surroundings with their powerful sense of smell. They are social, playful, protective animals who bond with each other, make beds, relax in the sun, and cool off in the mud.
-
Since most people are not that familiar with pigs, you may be surprised to learn that they dream, recognize their names, play video games more effectively than some primates, and lead social lives of a complexity previously observed only in primates.
-
People who run animal sanctuaries often describe pigs with human characteristics, because theyโ€™ve learned that, like humans, pigs enjoy listening to music, playing with soccer balls, and getting massages.
-
Pigs form complex social units and learn from one another in ways previously observed exclusively among primates.
Pigs communicate constantly with one another. More than 20 of their oinks, grunts, and squeals have been identified for different situations, from wooing their mates to expressing, โ€œIโ€™m hungry!โ€
Newborn piglets learn to run to their mothersโ€™ voices, and mother pigs sing to their young while nursing.
-
Pigs are actually very clean animals. If given sufficient space, pigs will be careful not to excrete near where they sleep or eat. Pigs donโ€™t โ€œsweat like pigsโ€; they are actually unable to sweat. Pigs like to bathe in water or mud to keep cool.
