A lovely wine ripe for drinking now under Stelvin enclosure. Still would last for many years and it would be interesting to try an older vintage to compare.
Soft and smooth and not a lot of oak or tannin. I'm not a fan of over wooded wines and can find them bitter to my tastes.
A lovely ruby colour with plenty of fruit on the nose.
Rounded and mouth filling across all of the pallet. Not overly spicy which is usually a characteristic of this variety, more like a light pepper.
Perfect with rib eye steak.
Hints of berry flavour, blackberry perhaps.
All round a perfect wine to accompany a meal.
