The goal of our YieldWise Initiative is to make a big dent in #foodloss in areas where it matters most. We’re starting with #Kenya, #Nigeria and #Tanzania where half of all food grown is lost. In Kenya specifically, farmers grow many delicious mangoes which contribute to 40% of the household income. Unfortunately, these farmers also experience enormous volumes of post-harvest loss because they lack proper storage for the fruit. Our Yieldwise Initiative provides them with solutions by integrating market demand, farmer training, and access to financial tools and technologies. Learn more about what mangoes in Kenya can teach us about food loss, via the link in bio.
