452. No Green Without Blue.
I am surrounded by blue, or to be more precise, by an infinite series of shades of blue ranging from light blue to intense blue. I am in Sardinia and finally, after routine maintenance and technical updates to Bat-Zodiac, it is time to check its performance.
The Sardinian Sea is one of the most beautiful in the world. An uncontaminated oasis with crystalline clear waters with colours that indelibly imprint themselves in your mind... An almost endless expanse of water, an element so important and so essential to our planet. Without water there is no life. Period. No blue, no green. No oceans, no vegetation.
Sea, sea, sea, here I am in my natural element. I love flying but sailing is my passion. The sea brings back to my mind many happy times of my life. I remember when I crossed the Mediterranean Sea with my children. Like that time when we sailed all the way to Israel… It is to the sea I return for my remembrance du temps perdu.
Sailing relaxes me, it gives me time to think, to dream... When you are sailing the nights are special. Without the contamination of city lights the sky reveals to us a unique spectacle, the Milky Way, countless constellations of distant stars around many of which we have woven so many myths…
My thoughts flow through my mind without interference. I can dream with my eyes wide open. The stars and the lapping of the waves against the hull keep me company…
A feeling of peace and tranquillity increases my concentration. I look at the stars and I lose myself in a universe of tiny, shiny pulsating lights. I recall the fireflies that illuminated my childhood summer nights in Via Maragliano.
Tomorrow, however, I want to thoroughly test the performance of the two Bat-Zodiac Hydro jet engines. Tomorrow it will be time to gallop with a purebred foal... I am looking forward to another Summer in the Mediterranean Sea. I cannot wait. What are your summer vacation plans?
I LOVE YOU
