It only took me 31 years to figure out that my diet was responsible for my depression, insomnia, IBS, and anxiety. Half a year ago I switched to a ketogenic diet / metabolic state and it was the best decision I’ve made in my life, and career. Since then, I haven’t had a single episode of depression, something I used to experience pretty much daily. I no longer dread sleep (I had a 2 year period where I couldn't sleep) now I sleep fine every night and look forward to it, and my anxiety is practically gone. I had visited psychologists and psychiatrists who prescribed me hardcore drugs which I refused to take, I never knew removing shitty carbohydrates from my diet could fix it all for me.
I’ve never felt more joyful, my moods are always stable and positive, my energy is limitless, I can run marathons without training, my life isn’t dictated by hunger anymore, I eat once or twice a day (intermittent fasting to take advantage of autophagy (anti-aging)), and I enjoy the food more, my relationship with hunger has completely changed — giving me more time to do all the things that I love and matter to me.
In the picture is my one meal that I will have today. My mom is happy cos I’m eating more vegetables in a day on keto, than I used to in a week!
It’s mind blowing for me, and it’s impossible to explain what it's really like to someone who has never tried it. The only thing I can tell you is that everyone should try keto at least once. Oh and, and it doesn’t hurt that it makes you look like a young god as you burn fat instead of sugar.
As an entrepreneur I’m less distracted, I have better focus and concentration, more time, no jet lag. I used to drink a lot, now I don't crave alcohol at all. You would be foolish not to try, and my only regret is having taken 31 years to figure this out. All it is, is taking advantage of millions of years of evolution, our bodies have been designed to thrive and function better in the ketogenic metabolic state.
For anyone interested, the best starting point is Mark Sissons The Keto Reset Diet. If you can read it and not be convinced to try, I’d be shocked. #ketogenic #keto #ketodiet #intermittentfasting #nutrition #diet #metabolism
