Usually there's just concrete. Grey. But this multi-story car park has had it's spaces jazzed up in turquoise. As if you needed telling...πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ“·

I am on the roof. This is the tip of the lift shaft. There was plenty of drizzle. In JUNE. FFS. β˜”οΈ "Top of the world Ma!" πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

I've got a soft spot for Harlow πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ My first full time job was with the Harlow Star, so I saw what was going on there first hand during the 80's. Lots of social problems, but they had a good community & a thriving shopping centre & very popular marketplace. The shopping centre has now been completely ruined by poorly thought through building planning, turning half of it into a ghost town. A real shame, considering the genius vision that Sir Freddie Gibberd.

Some sort of sound system. And a seagull. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ #filmisnotdead

For a communicative town mouse, this solitary unpopulated location is very alluring to live in πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ #filmisnotdead πŸ“·

Patrick is my Dad's opposite next-door neighbour & I just caught him before he was off up the pub to catch-up with his mates for a well deserved beer in the sunshine β˜€οΈ

This is Graham. Graham was working hard to get commuters/tourists to navigate to the museums & galleries of South Ken. In between this, he writes messages up on the whiteboard to motivate & make people think for a moment. Someone complained, as they thought it is in poor taste. There's always one isn't there. Graham now continues this task with added vigour. Be like Graham πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Just watching someone have a constant internal struggle is tough. As they are not bleeding, or having no visible broken limb or organ, the instinct to help is weirdly in a state of pause. What can you do if it ain't broke? The effect that it has on their close family is hard, but they persevere through their bond & love. I've got huge respect for Nick's family, they rally around him & talk almost incessantly at him. They are a very chatty bunch the McGraths. So, he is in great hands. But what happens on the outside? How can we all get that 'politeness' barrier out of the way without causing offence to the sufferer? We're all different. Some may find that an intrusion? Perhaps in the society we live in, the more avenues for communication there are, the more human interaction barriers appear. Our relationship has always been based on saying the unsayable. We are English, that tends to be what we do anyway. For example, yesterday's chat turned into whether Nick's water infection gonad hell was actually The AIDS. Humour works for us. Speak to the person in a way that suits YOU both & don't let any barriers stand in your way, to get that dialogue open with your relative or friend πŸ‘πŸ» #HeavenKnowsHesMiserableNow πŸ“·
