One of my favorite summer veggies...patty pan squash! I love to lightly season with extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, white/cayenne pepper and Herbs de Provence! Roast 350 degrees, uncovered til desired tenderness. I got these beauties from One Windmill Farm at @phxpublicmarket. #farmersmarket #glutenfree #paleo #local

Just made fresh cashew milk without any of those preservatives that you cannot pronounce. Now I can't resist having a latte but I will make it an iced one cause y'all know it is hot in AZ right about now! 1 cup soaked cashews with 2 cups filtered water. Use a high powered blender and a fine mesh strainer--strain twice. Save the pulp to make cream cheese or mayo which I will do next! #glutenfree #paleo #dairyfree #soyfree #nongmo

Dinner @beckettstable. We started with this delicious appetizer--"Crows Dairy Feta (goat cheese)." Loved everything (olives, roasted garlic, grilled red onions) but I especially enjoyed the hidden surprise under the feta--the sundried tomatoes!! I wanted another order. #local #paleo #glutenfree

The start of every savory dish begins with the light sauté of onions (sweet Onions today) followed by fresh garlic! Today I'm using coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil. I'm going to then add fresh broccoli with seasonings and cook til fork tender.

The third trial run of my pecan candy bites was much better than the second trial. I tried the date sugar. But the consistency didn't work like I wanted so I had to make some adjustments to achieve success. Even though it was not what I was trying to achieve it is still delicious as a slice of pecan pie! #recipetesting #kitchenexperiments #glutenfree

I'm enjoying the the July edition of @phxmagazine--feature story is all about Pizza. As I read the reviews on their best pizza joints my mind wondered how many of these offer gluten free options. Then on Page 110 my question was answered! I'm gonna add these to my list to explore on our next food adventure.

Really enjoyed dinner at Elements! I had Colorado Lamb Rack with moroccan spices | roasted eggplant | broccolini | pistachio mint chimichurri. Hubby had the featured special-- Veal chop with Sun chokes and mushrooms.

I'm loving Elements! The ambiance is perfect for date night! Our specialty drinks have arrived! mojito made with agave nectar for me and blackberry strawberry surprise for hubby! #noalcohol #allnatural

I'm always tweaking recipes. Now that I have a solid recipe to work with, hubby recommended that we try a reduced sugar version. I tried it and the recipe worked! Sometimes when the volume is reduced by a whole cup it could impact a recipe. I think the only tweak I would do the next time is bake for 60 or 65mins. #kitchenexperiments #recipetesting #glutenfree
