I'm posting today, June 10, 2017, in honor of Nikola Tesla's 157th birthday.
Tesla discovered the rotating magnetic field, a fundamental principle of physics, and was the inventor of the Tesla coil and alternating current machine, as well as, much more. Even in 2017, it is safe to say, the future will continue to make use of Tesla's work.
It has been recorded by various historians Tesla was Austrian, born in Smijlla-Linka, which was then the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, region of Croatia, some time in the wee hours of the morning between July 9 and July 10th during a lightening storm. ... I don't know whether that is so, or not; but given the man and his inventions, it certainly does suit him.
Nikola Tesla was a visionary physicist engineer far ahead of his time; though brilliant, he was never given due credit for all he deserved and continues to deserve. That much is safely said despite he was offered to unfairly "share" the 1915 Nobel Prize with Thomas A. Edison, who with the help of the American government covertly took credit for and suppressed other of Tesla's discoveries and inventions. Neither man claimed that Prize. Sadly, Tesla died alone in poverty. I encourage you to at least read: http://www.teslasociety.com/biography.htm
I think you'll be amazed. 🎉🎈🔮Happy Birthday, Nikola! ⚡️🎇💡
