Keep reading if you want to hear about how I actually hitch hiked to my high school graduation.
Between the capital run, gay pride march, an event at the zoo and an accident, traffic was AWFUL and almost all the roads were blocked off. I pulled over and a cop told me my best bet was to simply park and walk to Taco Bell Arena. I was almost 2 miles away.
Picture this: me, already late (what's new), frantically running bare foot, heals in one hand, cap and chords in the other, sprinting across the bridge down to University Drive in my gown. I probably ran close to a mile when finally a road was open and I was waving my hands like a lunatic trying to catch a ride. Eventually a nice woman pulled over, I hoped in and she dropped me off. So, that is my story of how I hitch hiked to my high school graduation. And honestly, if it happened any other way it wouldn't be a true depiction of a day in the life of Renee. Peace out Rocky Mountain, I love you forever 💜
