As my #Whole30 is winding down, and #day30 is almost upon me, I am reflecting through food. Were there tough times? Absolutely. Did I get grouchy? A bit. Am I a better label-reader? Heck yes! Do I think about hunger and food in a new way now? You bet I do! I think this program really did help me re-wire my brain and body, revealing the reasons why I indulge in unhealthy things, and how mind-over-matter is a real thing. What is really shocking is that throughout it all, I didn't give up. I kept going. My goal-driven self really shined through. Overall my seasonal allergies are almost non-existent. I have more energy. I look in the mirror and feel beautiful. I have an new appreciation for sweet potatoes and avocados. Not drinking did suck, but it's for a greater good. Being #empowered and #strong through these 30 days has jumpstarted a new me, and I look forward to reading #FoodFreedom to help me really cultivate my healthier relationship with food.
