So when I searched the #gofundme hashtag on #Instagram, the first picture I saw was posted by someone seeking help paying for his chemotherapy treatment, and the picture directly beside it was some American girl asking people to donate to her trip to Bali. 🙄#irony
What I'm posting about is not even kind of on the same scale of severity as the first post, but it's marginally more important than the second.
My lovely parents were visiting the Greek #island of Kefalonia in September, and have since been sending emails back and forth with a 19-year-old Greek girl who's never left the island, but enjoys reading books in English, as well as painting, playing guitar and writing poetry. She's said her number one bucket list item is to visit #California, so my parents are trying to make that happen by flying her out here and offering her a place to stay at their house for a few weeks. They're trying to raise money to cover the cost of the flight/spending money for her when she is here. She has no idea this is happening!
I've been asked to share their GoFund me campaign, if you want to/can contribute, even a few dollahz given anonymously would help. The link to their GoFundMe is in my bio.
If not, scope this dope #sunset picture my mom took in Kefalonia 😊
