A lot of people bash white bread... perhaps because on this occasion it isn’t as wholesome or tasty as the whole meal (Brown) counterpart.
.
As with my white rice vs brown rice post the other it honestly doesn’t matter which one you choose. If you need more fibre in your diet because you are one of those strange folks that doesn’t like vegetables or fruits then perhaps you should opt for brown for more fibre. .
If you are trying to lose weight or gain weight the overall impact of whether you are successful with your goal is calories and of course whether you are exercising!

By now you surely must understand that weightloss is caused by a calorie deficit. Weight gain is caused by a calorie surplus. Account for the food calories and you will be fine.
.
I’m not saying one is inherently better than the other ... but whichever you do choose make sure you at-least have a reasoning behind the choice!

Now of course a fake away (one you make fresh yourself) might be a good way of developing a broader spectrum when it comes to recipes and how to add variety to your nutrition, but if you are really wanting that take away.. you can!
.
Look, you have heard time and time again that one takeaway won’t make you fat, likewise one salad won’t make you “skinny”! .
Weightloss and achieving a goal comes down to balance! You will have to be in a calorie deficit.. you should all know this by now! Being flexible with your lifestyle, and being aware of your nutrition is the 🔥 to long term success!

One meal won’t make you fat.. but consistently being in a calorie surplus will! The downside to take away food is that it tastes damn good, which makes you want more and more. However... once in a while is completely fine.. so long as you account for the food you are consuming.. and either create a bigger deficit the next day or the day of, or you do more exercise to counter act the calorie surplus. .
My job as your nutrition coach is to simply highlight these facts and to help you live a life where you can achieve your goals but also enjoy life at the same time! .
There are some certain cases where this wouldn’t apply and I would recommend developing a healthy relationship with food first!

You may have been seeing a lot of posts similar to this recently determining which is best.. white rice or brown! Well tbh they are so close in nutritional value it doesn’t matter! Personally I prefer white rice for the taste and texture! Nothing to do with the nutritional value :)
.
Enjoy your choice... but remember if you are concerned about weight loss and that is your outright goal then you should be aware of your calorie consumption!

You see I wasn’t always lean... and neither were my clients. Coming from someone who pretty much at every age from 10-18 matched their age with their weight in stones! Yep at 18 I was 18 stone! Now if you have been a follower for a while you would know this, so this is a refresh and a reminder to the new followers of my story! .
As a coach empathy is huge! My ability to relate to people with their weight loss struggles is why I am able to help so many people achieve their goals! I have been there first hand!

I try to make my posts informative , I show the balance of life that comes with fitness and health but also wanting to enjoy food! After all I was once 18 stone and there is a foodie inside me still! I try to show there is hope for everyone to achieve their goals through a flexible approach!

Throughout my fitness journey, goals have changed, my body fat percentage has changed , my weight has fluctuated... but that’s okay. Why?

Because I was in control and my will to never be Obese, or have a 40 inch waist and walk around in XL clothes because of my weight, is my driving force in staying lean to this day!

As with any journey goals will change, and right now my goal is to be as fit , lean, healthy and be as strong as possible for the rest of my life!
