This hypnotic bench in blonde Brazilian hardwood was designed by Luis Amador in the 1970s where it was originally installed in the shoe store Sapataria Gambier.

Thaddeus Wolfe creates improvisational one of a kind glass sculptures. Wolfe blows glass into a hand-blown cast, and then polishes certain surfaces and grinds away layers of color to achieve the desired texture, translucence, and reflectivity necessary to complete the sculpture.

Brazil-based designer Julia Krantz combines her passion for design with a sustainable focus - all of the organic materials in her designs are obtained via sustainable forestry techniques. This sensuous table was designed and made by Krantz in 2005.

Happy Birthday Katie Stout! We are thrilled to be showing the pioneering designers table lamps, vanity, stool and lifesize "Girl" lamp at our curated presentation of contemporary and historical masterworks @FogFair Booth 301 through Sunday 20 January!

#RArchives has a first edition, well-loved copy of David Hicks on Decoration (1966), the first book in a series of classics done by the renowned British interior designer. Inside the iconic striped dust jacket he lays out his design maxims in simple lists, covering specifics and theory, such as: “Decoration is the art of achieving the maximum with the minimum. It is the art of making the most of your house, your rooms and your possessions..." ⠀

Bold colors, patterned carpets, dramatically-lit rooms and whimsical mixtures of old with new are now familiar design elements because of his pioneering vision. #RArchives collections are open to outside researchers by appointment. For more information, email: archives@r-and-company.com ⠀

We are thrilled to represent his equally brilliant son the British interior designer, architect and writer @AshleyHicks1970 and are currently showing his unique totem sculptures at our Booth 301 at @FogFair

@DanaBarnesStudio new work “Ruptured”, a sculpted mass of raw woolen fibers and other matter, was sculpted together by a process of hand knotting, meticulous shearing, bonding and boiling. ⠀

The amorphous textile structure currently at our Booth 301 at @FogFair was inspired by Barnes’ recent trip to Iceland where she encountered the cauldron-like geothermal drepression in the Mývatn area. ⠀

#ThrowbackThursday to our 2013 "Contemporary Korean Design II" exhibition with @SeomiInternational featuring designers Byung-Hoon Choi @atelier_choi, Jong-Sun Bahk, Myungsan Kang, Hun-Chung Lee & Bae Se Hwa.
Pictured here is a sensuosly elegant desk in black lacquer on red oak with a decidedly contemporary natural stone base titled "Afterimage 012-379". This stunning desk was designed and made by Byung-Hoon Choi in Korea in 2012. Featured behind the desk is a special wall installation by #DavidWiseman

British interior designer and architect @AshleyHicks1970 crafted these hand-sculpted, painted and carved totem sculptures last year and will be at our Booth 301 @FogFair opening tomorrow in San Francisco.
