Whenever I needed you, you went above & beyond to be there - with the most genuine, attentive love & care. When my finger got stuck in the front door, when I fell off the chairlift skiing, when I broke my wrist on a water slide, when I passed out at basketball camp & again many years later at a club (lol). When I didn't make it into the IB program in high school or didn't get that internship I wanted. Any time I felt left out for being different & that time my skin broke out right before seeing a girl I really liked. The first time someone broke my heart & every time I had to make a difficult life decision. In witnessing your love for me, I learned how to give love to those around me. I learned how to be interested in people's lives, find joy in their joy, feel accomplished from their accomplishments & how to be present and take action when people are down or weak or need a helping hand. Although I wish I didn't have to be there for you in this way right now, I'm so happy I can return the love you have always given to me & every single person around you. I know how to take good care of you because of how great you took care of me. We're in this together. Happy Mother's Day to my best friend.
